He told the Priest at the time that the temple would be destroyed and would be rebuilt in three days and thats what he did if he died and stayed dead he would have just been some guy that died.

The Narnia comparison is made with the lion "Christ" but shows a better comparision of the 2nd comming.

Because we are saved by His life Romans 5:10. His death is for our past sins of which we are to repent (stop sinning). His resurrection to life gives us hope that one day we will be resurrected to eternal life also. So when someone says we already have eternal life & it's just a matter of where we spend it (heaven or hell) their not telling the truth! Eternal life is a gift of God. Read Romans 6:23.

Because the myth wouldn't fit pagan religons if he didn't miraculously return to life. And, the Roman Empire couldn't make the Hebrew religion fit pagan beliefs without a magician to bridge the gap.

He overcame sin ~and~ death. Death was the final enemy to overcome. If death has no power over us, what will? Nothing.

Not to mention that it proves His Messianic claims beyond a reasonable doubt. The disciples hid in fear after his crucifiction for fear of their own lives. When they seen him resurrected, they came out boldly preaching the risen Christ. They had no more fear in death. His claims were proven.
