My German shepherd dog climbed trees..and my friend's rat terrier climbs trees..

not sure all i know is i have a 5 year old akita although he is a beautiful dog he is the worst breed of dog i ever had very MEAN i would never get another i heard its how they are but i didn't know that when i got him hope yours is friendly

I think it is perfectly normal, my bull terrier puppy climbs trees while I take her for a walk! I think they are just being curious, and unless he is causing himself danger, (for instance climbing too high, or on a rotten tree) then let him carry on climbing!
