You mean Crucify ?? - You don't HANG on a Cross ! (Shows your intelligence)
Several Reasons !
1. Buddha did not go against the Laws of India at that time
2. The rulers of India accepted what he preached
3. Buddhism preach "Avihimsa" - Un-harm / kindness
4. Buddhism is not a made up religion
5. Buddha didn't have to die for any body Else's sins
6. Buddha was never a Show Off
7. He was Buddha - not son of some mythical being ! People respected that fact !
Well many others - but don't want to waste much time ! I believe the mentioned is more than sufficient to realize where you stand !

Probably for the same reason they didn't hang Christ on one, it was not the primary form of execution at the time. The Jews use a stake, or as the oldest Biblical scrolls stated, a branchless tree. The Romans didn't start regularly using a cross, which at the time had two points in the ground, for 75 years after the death of Christ.

Different times, different cultures.
First Siddhartha Buddha (the enlighten one) died around 80 years old. And he was not the Jewish Messiah.
Second, Jesus Christ (anointed) was executed by the Romans at the request of the Jews. According to four accounts, God raised him from the dead and Christ Jesus will return.
Sadly, the cross did not break for Jesus, and Siddhartha died of old age.
As exciting as this question may sound, it is nothing more than comparing apples to oranges. Different times, different cultures.

Buddha was born in Nepal among Hindus. Hindu Religion preaches secularism and unlike their other counterparts, Hindus let Buddha live and even incorporated his teachings.
Hindus and Buddhists in Nepal live together with harmony like they have been doing for the last 2500 years.

Budda did not show up during the equivalent of a major tourist jam. The powers that be were not worried about a riot. Christ came to Jerusalem during the height of Passover a major crush and the Romans were terrified of a riot or mob scene.

why will they do that? Buddha cant save us..Buddha can't pay the penalty of our sins. Buddha is a mere idol. Buddha is not a Lord. Jesus alone can save us. And He Loves us so much.
