But seriously... They'd have flattened the problems in Iraq if they took an aggressive offensive like they did in Germany. But in such a small area which operates with guerilla strategy and terroristic warfare, the only way they could win such a conflict would be MASSIVE civilian casualties. It would essentially be hit and miss strategy. If they treated it like Japan with air raids, then most of the civilian homes would just be in ruins. There would be no country left to rebuild, as again they would need to wreck most everything to find a comparative few.
Both strategies would fail.

First, the US was attacked by Japan, so it defended itself, not like in Iraq. Second, the US didnt get into WW 2 til 1943, long after the war started in 1939...the US was busy making a fortune selling weapons to both sides first! The movies portray US beating Germany. Don't beleve eveything you see in the movies...Germany was exhausted by 1943 fighting 2 fronts, and the Russians really beat Germany.

The world would end pretty fast because nuclear weapons would be flying around all over the place... who really cares though the world is supposedly going to end december 21, 2012 A.D. anyway... so i guess we all should get off these computers and start living life while we still can... but thats just my opinion

The world as we know it would end because as soon as we launched the first nuclear missile anyone and everyone who has them, that is not on the side of the US, would be aiming and launching them at us. Then out allies would be firing at them and pretty soon good-bye human race hello to a vast waste land of what use to be the earth.

We would have just flattened the whole damn country from the air. But then we'd actually be what half the world is accusing us of being now.

It will be a tie. We fire nuc they fire there secret nucs that Bushes father sold them, then the Russian get scare and they fire there nuke and it will be Armageddon.

well, there would be cities still burnign from our invasion......millions would be dead ....and the war would be over....and with todays technology, there would be less deaths of American soldiers.....
