Yes it is possible but are you willing to keep it off. The only way you are going to get that right is by sticking to a eating plan and a exercise program. Are you willing?

Breakfast:

Oats made with water not milk.

Mid breakfast:

Fruit or veggie with a low GI bread.

Lunch:

Chicken or meat with veggie.

Mid Lunch:

Small amount of veggie or meat and a supplement.

Dinner:

Chicken, meat or fish with veggies.

Basically what you are doing is have four to five meals during the course of the day. All of them small and low in fat. Cut out butter, margine, sugar and oil etc:. Eat carbohydrates during the course of the morning and after 12pm in the afternoon eat only protein. Protein is easier for the body to break down in the afternoon than what carbohydrate is.

First off, don't go crazy and obsess about your weight. Don't do anything extreme cuz you'll screw up your metabolism and eventually get fatter.
Tips: 1. drink green tea- it's awesome, got antioxidants, and promotes weight loss. Also, choose unsweetened tea or water, instead of other calorie packed drinks.
2. Eat more fruits and veggies
3. Cut back on the junk, if it's at ALL possible cut out all the sugar you can, and limit the salt. Salt makes you retain water, and sugar makes you store fat, especially around your midsection
4. Do Pilates, it'll give you some nice tone, won't take too long (believe me, you'll feel the burn the FIRST time!) Muscle burns calories ALL day long, you don't have to do anything, Fat on the other hand is useless... in that sense anyway. If you get some muscle tone, you'll be burning more calories And be able to eat more w/o gaining.
5. Get some sleep! 6-8 hrs, lack of sleep can stress your body and make you hold on to lbs.
GOOD LUCK!! ^.~

Well, I have to agree, loosing more than 1 to 2 lbs a month is not NORMALLY healthy, but it can be done, I have lost close to 40 in the last 8 months. The things I can suggest to help you out, are the following:

1. Drink a lot of water, however you can drink too much as well, I
am currently in Iraq with the US Army, so I can not GET enough water myself.

2. Cut out all soda's and other things. This helps with weight loss and eating healthier.

3. Excersise, you must do this at least every other day, find something you like and stay with it. I use an eliptical machine every other day for an hour, along with other excersising that I do, but it needs to be something you enjoy, or you wont want to do it.

4. Determine your caloric intake. You must know how much you currently eat normally and then how much you need to MAINTAIN your weight. By eating LESS than it takes to maintain the weight you are currently at, you will force your body to burn the fat stores in it.

And just changing your diet without knowing how MUCH you need in calories, will not work. Been There Done That (BTDT)

4.Dont have OFF days. A lot of people will "reward" themselves on off days, you must keep your weight loss goals in mind to achive them, and by letting your food intake go up on those days, or deciding one day you dont want to go work out, you are just defeating your progress on the other days. Again, BTDT

5. Monitor your progress. Record your daily weight, and your excersise. This is a step that has helped me tremendously. By recording your progress, you will see that you are improving not only your weight by loosing it, but you will also see how you are imprving on distance, or reps or weight lifted. It will be slow at first, and will frustrate you, but it will be visible over time.

6. Keep up the program for a life time. You and your family will be better off, since you will be able to be with them a lot longer due to being in better shape and not needing to worry about being overweight, and more prone to heart attacks and other disease.

You should not lose more than half a pound a week! But if you really like to lose 4 pounds in 1 week, you should exercise (-aerobics like walking, jogging, etc.) and you have to drink a slimming tea like "Kankura Herbal Tea".Drinking this kind of tea every night (15 minutes before bedtime) will keep you fit and healthy. Once you have started it, you have to continue it. If you stop on drinking it, you will gain again the weight you've lost.
All i can say is this: You have to change your lifestyle in order to become fit and healthy! i mean you have to exercise everyday and eat only a right amount or serving of healthy food. Be a vegetarian. Cook foods wisely! Don't fry, instead bake, grill, or boil foods. You should eliminate alcoholic drinks, sweets, and junkfoods.

The best way is to exercise eveyday!
keep your body moving.
Eat breakfast, lunch and dinner! do not skip meals.
Watch your sugar intake.

hai, even i'm under diet and hence went through all the suggestions, so that to avoid repetition. I wud like to say the missed important things.
Eat several mini meals
Drink 2 glasses of water before u eat anything
Finish off ur dinner by 6.30pm and u can have veg or fruit salad at 9.00pm and go for a walk before u sleep.
Don't starve at all. Even if u do, take very light foods or salads after starvation, as whatever u eat after starvation will be completely absorbed
