OF COURSE I am proud to be a Christian, because I have been blessed enough to know God and be able to help others get to know Him!

I am a hindu. I think that everybody should follow the great teachings of their religions. Nobody should look upon other religions since all religions teach something good for the mankind. You might have not meant it, but "being proud of" your own religion might mean that you look upon others (i am sure that you are not that kind of person). So the best way that you could express your feelings is telling "I am a great follower of jesus and christianity". Others also could tell the same thing about their religions without affecting somebody elses' feelings.

I am a Christian but I am not proud of that! I am glad that I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior! Pride is actually a sin! I would describe myself as happy but humble!

Absolutely!

And I cannot believe some of the answers you are getting.....

" yes, but I am ashamed of it sometimes"
"yes , but I don't push it onto others"
" yes, but do not worship other god's, which us pretty bad"

Wow, People, being a Christian IS worshipping ONLY the one true God!......Do you read the Ten Commandments?....And you should shout it from the highest mountaintops! Tell others about Christ!
God commands us to do this, to share Christ with the world.

With some of these answers from so called Christians........well......let's just say I would be a bit nervous when it's my turn to stand before God...........

Either be true or not.......You can't stradle the fence

I am proud of my accomplishments in life but not very because humility is a much greater virtue. Belief and religious practice is not an accomplishment. Best case you do it because you like it. Worst case you do it out of fear. In either case there is nothing to be proud of anyway. Did you not read that part in the Bible that describes humility as a virtue? Humility and pride don't go together.

I used to be- until I realized I was a hypocrite, looking down on everyone who was not. So I quit being a "Christian". I would rather try to be Christ-LIKE than be a Christian. Christians do not follow the *messages* of Christ. They only sit around at church and worship the messenger.
