Addiction is abuse.
Love is giving without regaurd of the effect.
Addiction is because of the effect.. Also it is all encompassing and becomes your life.
Love does not love supplaments your life and .. you find the love in things around you.

True love is stronger because it "never fails" and addictions fail you everytime not to mention that people do overcome addictions and if they don't overcome them addiction destroys. True love builds up.
People may be addicted to the the chemical reactions and emotional highs of "falling in love" though.

Addiction. Love has never even been proven to exist... at least not romantic love. It wasn't even thought of until the troubadours of the court of Queen Elanor d' Aquitaine. It wasn't put into practice, the marrying for love and dating, until around the 1900's. Its a modern ideal that ends in bitter divorce because people fall out of love.
Now Addiction, that's something you can count on... depending on your personality, you may be able to depend on your addiction for the rest of your life... I mean, when you go to AA meetings, even if you've been sober for a few years, you still tell them you are an alcoholic. Same thing with NA meetings. Addictions are your bed-mates in sickness and health, til death do you part.

I think addiction is stronger. We are easier get used to something rather than fell in love with something.
Why? Getting used gives pleasure and positive emotions.
Love sometimes hurts...
