I've been fortunate to meet several people from chat/web/ect. and I have to say a good 75% are just bs artist but I have met more than just a few of "real" people and even one good girlfriend. We've known each other almost 8 years and been off and on datingfor probably 4 or 5 and plan to live together and maybe even marriage. And we live almost 500 miles apart.

So take heart, yes, there are some real folks out there. Ya just gotta kiss a lotta frogs sometimes.

Has anyone ever met an honest, decent boyfriend from the net?
I have tried and I am honest and decent but with children no honest decent guy would want me. So I have given up.
So probably not.

Yes; my girlfriend and I interacted primarily online at first, even though we both worked at the same place; it wasn't until after a few months of sparring back and forth online that we started talking in person. Mind you, we were like cats and dogs fighting online at first, both seeking territorial dominance over our little patch of the 'Net. As our little skirmishes escalated, we soon found we'd left everyone else behind, and we were the only two left with the skills to keep up the fight; I think it was at that point that our battles yielded to grudging respect, and then admiration, which probably helped; we didn't start out looking for someone to date, instead we started as rivals, and in our challenges to each other, discovered we had much in common. There was no reason for artifice between us, because our meetings at first weren't towards impressing the other with charm or wit, but instead raw technical skill...

...which brings me back to one of my repeated adages; people are attracted to whole, confident, people who are comfortable with who they are, and have found ways to enjoy themselves and be happy on their own. Don't set out to find someone, and you'll find you're more likely to encounter people who are interested in you.

Ron Paul. Obama? Obama signed 2 extensions of the Patriot Act, signed NDAA into regulation (facilitates indefinite detention of U.S. electorate without prices), assassinated an American citizen (George W. Bush did not even try this), kept Guantanamo open (after promising to close it in his first 3 hundred and sixty 5 days), kept Monsanto human beings intense up contained in the FDA (Christine Escobar), nonetheless raids criminal clinical marijuana centers (after saying he could end this custom), tripled the fashion of troops in Afghanistan (morphed it from an anti-terror campaign to a rustic progression campaign), kept Bush's guy operating the federal reserve (heavily...Bush's guy?), helped arm Mexican drug cartels (Operation quickly and furious), prolonged the Bush tax cuts, hostile any attempt to re-institute Glass-Steagall (which separates commercial from funding banking), mandated all electorate make a purchase order from a for-income employer (rehashed REPUBLICAN theory from the early 90s)....

No! still no one had met me off the net.
Your Point is up to the mark,
People lies on the net because they Know that no one can see them in reality.
If I admit that I am descent, sober, simple and people always admires my simplicity you won't believe it,
But believe me its 100% true.
Have you Believed?
