I've been this guy's friend since September. He had asked be out before, but I turned him down because of parental issues. (they're not an issue anymore.) Mid-July, I told him I liked him, but he didn't tell me whether he felt the same or if he just saw me as a friend. 2 days ago, he told me that he liked me too, but it seems really far off. I can understand if he's confused, but he didn't tell me his feelings until a couple days after my friend told him she was with someone. (he had been asking her to hang out, and she told him that if it was for date purpose, than she couldn't.) It seems like he was juggling me and my friend and didn't make the decision to like me until she turned him down because he already knew I liked him. I confronted him about it and asked him if I was just a substitute, because if so, that's really messed up. He told me he wouldn't do that, but I still have my doubts. Should I still go out with him? Or should I just stay friends with him? Any other advice?

It was so sad that men were like that, I was actually in the same predicament.. I knew by instinct that my man is digging someone else yet, I have no proofs except words from all the people around me that wasn't my close friends ( so I was so hesitant to believe them) yet in time, it seemed that these people were telling the truth.. Im actually just waiting for the moment that I could actually have an evidence.. Same right? but your luckier that you already have the proofs and it even came from a good friend of urs. I think what you should really do right now is tell him straight how you feel about him, that you cant trust him that much knowing that he seemed lying on you.. evrything you wanted to say.. and just be friend with him. If he ask for a chance.. let him but remind him that it would be so difficult because he had broken your trust.. If he can withstand waiting long, and be able to make sacrifices for you then in that time go.. it's time to follow your heart..

Sure. I always have advice. Go out with him, but don't make it anything to serious..dont' read into any of his actions. Its seems that you were the back up girl for your friend..the second plan. If you really like this guy, then you're going to have to work on getting him focused on just you and not having a second plan.

You understand the situation perfectly. You are his second choice, his back-up option. Don't go out with him. You deserve much better.
