Sweetie alot of us have been there. If he gets some kind of money in each month that is recorded through the government then yes is your answer. However you cannot go to court until after the baby is here. Court will be a very nasty thing and you take the chance of things being brought out that will hurt both you and your family and likewise. The court will also look at every aspect of this case. Depending on the laws in your state your boyfriend at the time, was with a minor(you). Most states have the law that you must be 18. Yours may be different. You also take the chance that after the baby is here your ex may decide he does want part in the babys life and may decide to prove you as an unfit mother. Hopefully in your case this will not happen. Good luck though sweetie i hope you and your baby enjoy a long and happy life together. kenziebuchanan@hotmail.com if you have anymore questions. I will try to help.

You should def open a case against him. Contact your local family court and file a complaint to open a Child Support case. Just because he's not working or receiving SSI it does not excuse him from supporting your child. Unfortunately SSI is the only income exempt from garnishment (is a legal procedure to take money for example from your bank account or wages). If he's trying to be an a** hole about it you should def go after him. You cannot bring a child and expect not to support him/her. Is a shame, as you mentioned he def has problems. Just remember once you open a child support case you're pretty much opening a judgment against him. That judgment can be use to garnish income, unemployment, bank account, settlement from law suits and even lottery winnings. So think about it and take the proper steps, is all about your child's future. Be strong and good luck with everything.
P.S. You don't need a lawyer.

Don't know where you live but I can pretty much guarantee that his SSI check can and will be garnished if you pursue child support.
The absolute best way to get the county courts you live near to quickly expedite your child support claim is to file for medicare, welfare or food stamps. When you do that the county will be on his government issued checks like white on rice.

back in the day when i was young, what you've had happen to you 3 months ago would have constituted as rape. yes, he must help you financially until your child is 18. what the heck were you doing having unprotected sex, especially with someone with an anger "disability"? great, more of my tax dollars that i work hard for going to helping people such as you. yes, you're going to be a single mother in high school....your choice, and others pay for it. thanx.

The answer is yes they will make him pay some type of child support if he is receiving Social Security. If they made my father take child support out of his disability checks then they will figure out some type of amount to help you with your baby!

I doubt they will dock him if he is receiving government assistance or government disability. You will most likely be eligible for government assistance as a single mother.
Contact a lawyer anyway, in case he does ever become employed you will have a judgment against any future earnings until your child is 18.
Also, see a social worker in your city/municipality to see what kind of assistance you are eligible for.
Good luck!
Love, light and blessings! :)

Yes he has to pay...go to the child services office near you, and talk to someone there that can tell you what you need to do. He may deny the child then you will have to go for DNA testing to prove its his.

Yes, he must pay, but you need birth control and help cause now you are a child about to have a child. Stop this vicious cycle!
