Free-thinking is a religion too. In fact we are here on earth because we chose to be separated from heaven. If you see religion as a prison cell, those who are inside do not see it the way you do. They consider religion as freedom.

A spiritual free thinker !

A free thinker would not care for the values of Humanity. But a spiritual guy who is a free thinker would look in to all aspects of life !

Spirituality is essential in life since that helps an individual to en sync the mind, body and soul.

Be a free-thinker. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. This is salvation by freely choosing to believe in Jesus Christ and having a personal relationship with Him. Contrary to popular belief, this is not religion. Religion is not a belief, but the action of doing something religiously to gain salvation. Question is, how often and how much do you have to do to be saved? Think on it.

Well, only you can answer that for yourself.

I find it difficult to imagine myself, personally, swallowing lock, stock and barrel _everything_ written in _any_ book, be it 'holy' or not. I think it's great to have a healthy scepticism about anything you read, and if you 'turn off' your scepticism for a certain book and say 'this may not make sense, but it's the Word of God, so it's true', then you have abilities that I don't possess.

I could never be anything but a free-thinker myself. But if you can live a healthy and happy life while unquestioningly accepting the tenets of one particular religion, then go for it...

Be a little bit of both....If you think too much...instead of finding answers...you'll find limitations and barriers to what could be outside the realm of reality...If you believe in a religion you will have a really sense of unlimited possibilities...With religion the sky is the limit...and many, many times it is true. People who rely solely on what they understand based on facts miss out on the other things that happen in life and that cannot be explained by science. Like for example, people who believe in God and are members of a religious association fare better during recovery time after an accident...then those who are atheist....So yeah, we should be free-thinkers..to thnk what is most convenient to us, based on our desires, and we should also be religious to have that unlimited sense of glory and possiblities.

Free thinker and God believer. Jaz doesn't feel right people dictate what is and is not the truth. If they say Mary is the mother of God, will you just accept the doctrine or challenge your God-given mind to think?

Free thinker. More flexible and "real". It is a lonelier path than religion, but more rewarding personally.

Unless someone is totally brainwashed, they should be able to be a free thinker and also believe in God.
