If you have thick hair, go to the gym, leave in a humid climate, or go out and dance... it may not be that easy to keep your hair straight for a LONG time, but definitely a good enough time until you can get back to the salon... you should try that new "flat iron" thats on TV that keeps hair super straight even in humidty.

I dont know the name, but you have to help to keep your hair straight as well, and the best maintenance you can give you hair, is your personal care!

Call for consultations at different salons. Look in the yellow pages on line and look for products like Matrix, Goldwell, Aveda has its own thing going on so they would use their products only to straighten your hair.

The Japanese straightener is very good, but there are others available that are just as good and they are all very expensive to have done. You would have to ask as every stylist has their own prices. I'm guessing at up to 650 for it. but you really do have to ask. That would be for long hair I'm sure. You also have to redo the roots every three months or so. Ask about that price too.
