Christians, why are some of us being cruel to all muslims and not giving them mercy?

when in the bible it says to love our enemies, is this name calling and revenge seeking really love or mercy or christlike? i am a christian

what i mean God tells us to show compassion why are some christians just saying death to them and not even giving them the chance to become christians, because i guarentee you that in Iran there are plenty of people who would gladly give up islam if they knew there was something better and to the person who said i don't knwo the meaning of my own bible, please find another time to do that sort of thing...

God loves Everyone and wants EVERYONE to be with him so why are we telling muslims that our God hates them (through our actions that's what we are saying) when God wants them to be with him

People are cruel and judgemental. Its a fact of life deal with it. Plus there are those who grow up in a house of predjudice and it takes and it takes a lot to overcome that.

You've asked this question at the wrong time. You won't receive many answers now, if any. Try asking this before midnight (I'm assuming you're in north america). You've also asked this in the wrong place: 95% people, here on yahoo questions, especially in this section, are as rude, demeaning, close-minded, hypocritical, and inconsiderate as could be (I'm not just talking about the Christians, but about atheists in general who try to be funny by coming up with the most insensitive answer they can). Most of them are not looking for answers or the truth, but just for more people who bash others to get a laugh about it. I'm sure you'll get some 'delightful' answers sooner or later

I truly appreciate your question - I'm a Muslim. Thanks for your concern and wisdom (to not pre-judge or over-generalize). All answers, here on yahoo, given by Muslims advocate peace - irrefutable proof that not all Muslims are violent, terrorists... -not only that, but we also give explanations. Still however, it's like people don't want to read what the people they've asked had to say.

and though you may use the honourable 'love your enemy' phrase to get through them, Islam is truly not what ignorant Muslims have turned it into. It really is about peace, though peace is the last thing Islam now reflects. If only you knew how much I hate these extremists - and even unenlightened so called Muslims. I probably hate them more than even the americans who have despised Islam ever since 9-11.

I think we are being very nice. They have Mosques (terrorist bases of operation) in every nation of the world. They send their kids in America, England, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, German to Terrorist School in Afghanistan, then they come home having learned how to make bombs out of stuff you can easily buy at Wal Mart, fire a Stinger Missle, fire a Bazook, and take an AK47 apart and reassemble it in 4 minutes flat.

What they are going to do to the Christians is worse than what the KKK (A christian organization, by the way) did to blacks in the south!

If I see a Muslim here who wants to debate the MERITS of their religious views over Christian views, I'm every interested in having a good, peaceful debate.

But it all boils down to our siding with the Jews and from our Bibles we can't quite say that isn't true as the Old Testament is mostly the Jewish Bible.

You have to face reality, we incorporate the scriptures of their bitter enemy dating back 6,000 years into our religion.

You may not be cruel, but you share something with the cruel Christians, and that is you too consider Muslims your enemies. You also imply that Christians should give them mercy. Mercy for what? Do they go around sinning against all the Christians? Do the big, bad Muslims rain on your life?

Sorry for the sarcasm, but I find your question very smug. Almost none would become Christians, we see it the other way around way more overhwelmingly as compared to Muslims converting to Christianity. Islam is a MOST PROFOUND, SPIRITUALLY MATURE religion, even more than Christianity. No true Muslim will turn to Christianity, just as no true Christian would turn to Judaism. You, as a Christian, accept Christ as the Messiah sent by God. You do not deny that he was the promised Messiah of the OT. Would you convert to Judaism? Of course not, you have too much knowledge of Christ to do that.

Same principle applies to Muslims. They have far too much knowledge of Allah (which, btw, God, the same God of the Christians), and far too deep a knowledge of Pr Mohammed (pbuh) to ever go backwards into Christianity.

I , however, appreciate your call to peace. This is big of you, and the world needs more Christians like you who want peace with Muslims. Don't expect them to convert, just as true Christians wouldn't convert to Judaism. However, people don't need to have the same religion to show kindness to one another. I thank you for encouraging Christians to look beyond the boob tube and see what Muslims are like, to stop spreading hatred, and to start behaving more Christ-like, already.

Because they don't know what being a Christian is about. They think one Muslim is like another. If the Muslim extremists called themselves the Purple Extremists then grapes would have a rough time of it.

The bible warns us about a false prophet who comes in the name of peace and that we all would recognize him by his deeds. The name Muhamed rings a bell.

Muslims believe in a book written by an ordinary man, and in that book it teaches to kill anyone who is not muslim or willing to convert to muslim. Therefore we must do the only thing that there is to do. Kill the belief by killing everyone that believes it.

I'm not cruel to Muslims but I am saddened and I wonder why the Muslims consider Christians and Jewish people to be infidels and that they should be exterminated. I am a Christian too.

Did he teach love and mercy? Yes. Muslims follow this.

The word LOVE is wrote in Greek. It has 8 different meanings. Do you know which meaning it is referring too when it says, love your neighbor? No, you don't, or you would not ask this.
