I have a suggestion that I hope at least some will consider. These comments are made by people who, in the real world, are shunned and ignored for their ignorance and nastiness. They get no attention, and yet here (and I am guilty as anyone), we give them exactly what they crave. They want to incite anger, promote hatred, and they want attention. Let's stop giving it to them, shall we?!? Resist the urge to respond to the vile, hateful comments about your race, your country, your beliefs...just read the question, click on their name, report them (if applicable, and it usually is) and I for one will say a prayer for them. What you do is up to you.

I wish that comments and rational discussion would change their minds and enlighten their views, but they can only do that for themselves. In any case, today is the last day I waste my time and effort giving them the attention they crave and/or allowing them to anger me. Have a wonderful day!

any intelligent person should be able to state their views without being cruel about it - i think that's the point she's trying to make.

Yes, I agree with what you're saying, but just like in the real world it's not going to go away by not saying anything at all. Ignoring it makes it worse because it implies there's nothing wrong. If they are not intimidated by making those remarks then it will continue even if it gets erased. So just like in the real world, you have to respond and respond accordingly... Not necessarily with anger and resentment, but by exposing the ignorance and in a sense, ridiculing the statement to show that it's entire foundation is based on a racist stereotype and not on any solid factual basis or truth... Because a truly racist comment is just that, a myth. If you correct that myth, then I feel it does more good than simply reporting them. Racism stems from ignorance and misunderstanding of another's culture. I would encourage others to educate racists through any means necessary... ;) By that I mean use all your sarcasm, wit, charm, and knowledge to show that you can stand your ground and then they'll think twice before posting it because they will be ridiculed for it rather than praised.

Many people when they do not have a leg to stand on try to get vicious to avoid the realization that they cannot defend their point of view. It's much easier to be vicious than eloquent for many people. With the Internet allowing everyone to make a statement the same nice person can be a vicious jerk since they probably do not have a personal relationship with the people they attack yet if they were in the same space as the people they attack they would think twice before taking the same actions.

I have been cut down in my life many times when not deserved. Not racist comments but words are just words, and negative comments only motivate me. The other gentleman is correct when saying you need thick skin. Many blacks have used these oppressive comments and actions to motivate them to reach a point of prosperity.

Why do you come to this site if it bothers you so much? Are you sure you're living in the real world?

We anti criminals are sick and tired of hearing the most ridiculous garbage in a pathetic attempt to justify illegals breaking the law. So, it's not only on one side of the issue.

I wish they would stop playing the race card and start supporting our nation's laws.

Playing the race card is one of the first actions of a racist.

Racist comments should be fought the good ol fashion way by, by using wit to cut them down, without sinking to thier level.

i believe racism is alive and well in our country, it has hidden itself because it is not allowed in the open anymore but its there........

Have a wonderful day!
