Anthony, this is too big of a question for this area and at 2:30 in the morning???

The Christian Religion is so vast that it would not be possible to explain fully.

But the Apostles creed does sum up what most of us believe.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
the Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:

Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended into hell. [See Calvin]

The third day He arose again from the dead.

He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy *catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.

Amen.

Christian means "Christ's Man". The Christian religion believes in HOPE. Hope is what religion is. Christ gave hope to those who were helpless against those who were in power. Hope is the key word.
Think about it. What gives people hope now. Now that jobs r being sent over seas and Mexicans r being imported to break down the cost of labor. Corporations and government have all the power and we have been made helpless.
The new Christianity is Gambling, the lottery, casino's, telling people to go to school and get an education only to have your job sent to India or China. These r the new religions, these things give use hope and at the same time enrich those in power.
Are you able to grasp this. I hope so. Tell someone else this; pass it on.

The Christian faith is based on the bible. The bible is a historical document(although not recognized as such) in which the creator of the universe communicated with ordinary people and displayed his power. The Christian faith all boils down to whether Jesus Christ is the son of God or whether He was a liar or lunatic. He showed no signs of the latter descriptions.

We don't believe in the bible, the bible is our holly book, like the Koran in the Muslim Religion. We believe in God who made the world in 7 days and his son, Jesus Christ who died for people's sins. He was crucified on the cross cause he was talking about our religion and also he was healing people and after 3 days he arise and went in the heaven. But there is Catholic and Orthodox christian religion. I'm Orthodox and I believe in this, I don't know much about Catholics. It's similar but there is some differences.

God came to Earth incarnate as man...Jesus..born in a stable in Bethlehem to a virgin girl named Mary and her husband Joseph.
Jesus walked among men for 34 years. During his short life on earth, he performed many miracles.
We believe that He was crucified on a cross, was placed in a tomb, to arise 3 days later and still lives today in Heaven. A place He has gone to prepare for his children, those who have asked Him to save them from their sins.
We're supposed to be Christ like and live our lives as a light before the world, to do what Jesus would have us to do, and win souls for Him.
We believe He's coming back in the twinkling of an eye for His chilren, who will live forevermore with Him in Heaven.
There is a real hell, and those who do not repeant will spend eternity there.

I agree that Christianity is not a religion, but a reality. It is the truth for anyone who seeks it. The truth is, God, in the form of man (Jesus Christ) died for our sins so that we might have life. For those who receive the truth, He calls to repentance. We are to live a holy life acceptable to God and await His return. With so many views of Christianity, we are also expected to seek the truth that we are not deceived by the enemy.

That Jesus was born of a vigin mother (Mary). That Jesus was God's son. That people are bonr sinners. That Jesus died on the cross and suffered for the sins of mankind. That Jesus was ressurrected after his death. Their scriptures are the Alexandrine Canon of the Torah and the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. This is coming from a non-christian.

Christians believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit... and from here, they believe in (1) love for God and man, (2) faith in God in everything and all situations (3) hope to one day be united with God.

So like they say, everyting here on earth is temporary; God give and God takes away, but whatever treasures we have in heaven is eternal.

Christian Faith: The Early Creed
The Christian faith is founded on Jesus Christ and His resurrection. Before the New Testament gospels were even written, the early Christian leaders declared their belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus through a statement of belief known as a creed. The earliest record of the Christian creed is presented by Paul and found in 1 Corinthians 15:3-8:

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that He was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, He was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, He was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all He was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.”

Christian Faith: Importance of the Early Record for the Creed
One of the biggest arguments against the Christian faith is that the resurrection story is a myth that developed over as much as a century after Jesus was crucified on a Roman cross. It was originally thought that the gospel accounts were written as much as 100 years after Jesus walked the earth. Recent scholarship in manuscript reliability and textual criticism now places the gospels at 30 to 50 years after Jesus. Why is the above passage so important? Because Biblical scholars, using the historical records of Paul and his early travels to Damascus and Jerusalem, place the above scripture at about 35 A.D., just 3 to 5 years after the death of Jesus Christ. This is dramatic, because those same scholars would hold that this basic creed for the Christian faith developed far too quickly for a myth to develop and distort the historical record of the resurrection.

Christian Faith: Jesus Christ and His Resurrection
Since the foundation of the Christian Faith is Jesus Christ and His resurrection, then the historical veracity of His life, death and resurrection are tantamount. For as Paul declared later in his letter to the Corinthians (1 Corinthians 15:14-17):

“And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ: whom He raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.”

Although the Christian faith is not based purely on evidence, it is definitely supported by evidence. Faith is not about turning off the brain and merely relying on the heart, or squashing reason in favor of emotion. No, Christian faith is about seeking and knowing Jesus Christ with all facets of the human character. It’s about loving Him with all your heart, mind, soul and strength.

Real Christians believe in following the teachings of Jesus. Simply put, treat others as you want to be treated, don't judge people as you will be judged, help and love others, be kind, be respectful, love your god who has created you...continues.
get the picture??
