I have trouble sleeping sometimes, too. I do the counting down from 100 but 100 is never enough for me - i always start at 400 (500 if I'm feeling really punky). I never make it to 100 but I have sometimes made to somewhere in the 200s. Good luck and happy sleeping.

Try getting up earlier. Do not exercise, run, or anything of that nature at night. Stay away from caffeine, start drinking decaf everything. Stay away from sweets for awhile.and you should see and feel remarkable results.
I was given this advice when I was diagnosed with epilepsy from a doctor and nutritionist. I have no problem sleeping now. If by chance this does not work see your family doctor and he will give you something to help with the problem. Good Luck..

hi !
i am a 19 year old female and i have been dealing with extreme sleeping problems most of my life. I have a few simple ideas that might help.
try taking a hot shower (that usually works for me but i am sick of taking two showers everyday)
Try taking a jog or some activity during the day it will help use of some of your energy
moniter your diet ! watch what foods your eating or how much coffee/tea you drink.
set a night time routine ( do the same thing every time before you get ready for bed
if all else fails try going to see a doctor
i hope this helps!

Whens the last time you son has seen a doctor for a physical? Might be time to schedule one.
There could be MANY reasons. Depression is one that comes to mind first.
Anxiety is another reason. Insomnia, medications, family, school, work, sports all come into mind.
I have heard that medication, yoga, exercise all work to lessen this.
Taking a walk before bed and showering are suggestions.
I take medication - Anti-psychotic - Seroquel for my insomnia. ONLY draw back is, I feel "drugged" days after-wards!

You suffer from insomnia, a sleeping disorder caused by stress and other things. See a doctor and he'll prescribe you with some sleep medications that will help you. In the mean time, take yoga to help relieve you of out side turmoil, I guarantee that will help.

Take a long walk with your Mother. Physical energies are calmed when one is walking with a friend. These precious moments when shared; are a bonding experience, and we can't get to much of that. I hope that you will make it a daily event, hopefully in the dawn or at the sundown. You'll both sleep, restfully.
