You need to put a toner on it,bleaching is only the first step, so if your stylist just bleached it she only did half the job. Trim the ends of your hair and go back to the salon and get reconstructor treatments for the dryness.

This same **** happened to me. I just had my yellow hair changed a week ago. I was tired of the yellow because just after 2 weeks my brown roots would show and i thought it was too blonde. What I did is asked my stylist to put highlights and lowlights so that it would look natural. I had 2 lowlights put in my hair 1) my natural color 2) light brown 3) honey blonde.... my hair now looks really good. It isnt too blonde but it isnt too light brown either. Also it looks more natural and I dont hav to worry about my roots. I suggest you do this or put three different shades of blond in your hair for a more natural blonde look instead of barbie. I hope this helps you as much as it helped me. Here is a sight for different colors and styles.

You can have the colorist use a toner, or, if you never want to see her face again, you can buy your own at most drug stores. Clairol has one, and I think Nice 'n Easy does, too. (They really work) This kind washes out with each shampoo, however. (The one the colorist applies is more permanent.) Either way, the yellow effect will fade w/in a week or two, so basically the biggest difference is the price.

The only way to correct the yellow is to apply a toner, your stylist should have done this for you. You will need a pale ash blonde toner with a violet base. and get conditioning treatments for the dryness, you will need them often, maybe once every two weeks.

Hi. I'm from dark brown to platinum blonde girl...(i know,,Ugg) Its better to go hair salon again... well If u don't wanna colour again, stay yellow!! lol If u'll colour urself, make sure use 'ASH' based colour like 'Light ASH blonde' or anything like that. (Or ask hair dresser). 'ASH' minimize turing 'Orangy' 'Yellow' or 'Reddish'. Some beauty shop has a 'DROP' it also minimize turning 'orangy' so U can get more Pale-white blonde... (U can use that drops to just put into relugar hair colour.. I head these 'Ash' and 'Drop' things from Hair dresser, so pretty much I'm sure.

Go back and ask her to use toner, it will give it a less "brassy" look.
