aside from that, constantly being in a/c lower your tolerance to heat. In march when it hits 60 degrees people break out he shorts and ditch thier coats. If it hits 60 in july people are reaching for thier pants and long sleeves. This is because your body adapts to the changes in its enviroment. When you are constantly in the a/c, then your body never gets used to the heat, so when you do go outside the heat is overwhelming.
But in regards to your question, stopping the use of a/c wont save the enviroment.

Im sorry to all those eco friendly people but, My AC is runnin 24/7 unless it goes below 75

I live in North Carolina and it gets really hot here so we need the AC on all the time. Im leaving it up to the government to deal with the fuel problems. And if there's no power left one day ... it's there problem for not doing something about it.

I don't care what people say, It's 100 + here and how can people expect us (especially elder peeps) to keep the Air Conditioning off?

One day my roommate and I decided to turn off the ac in our apartment for a day (when we aren't home). I had in over 100 daily in here in Texas and it wasn't much cooler in the apartment when we got home.

I think ac's should be more efficient, because energy prices are rising and we're running out of it. However, I'm a little too selfish to put it to 80, and I don't want a heat stroke if I turn it off.

And to make it worst more people are moving to the desert in droves thanks to the millions of Mexicans used in construction to build homes in the desert.
What you want to think about is getting rid of 30 million illegal aliens. How much fuel do you think they are using. Plenty! We would not have a fuel crisis if we didn't have so many illegals. Think about all that fuel, and ac they use.
