i just got mine pulled today. im 16. the dentist gave me some vicoden but its not really working and it just made me throw up all the food that i ate today wich wasnt much other than some jello or pudding. my stumach hurts more than my mouth. my mouth isnt accually that bad. but im having terable stomach pains. did any one have the same problem when they had thiers pulled?? anyone have any suggestions on how i can feel better? thanx.

I got 2 of mine pulled and I wa snot given any pain medz *ouch* but I was good in a few days.....Vicoden can make certian people sick as it does me especially if your stomach is totally empty what i would do is take a half of one and see how it does cause you may be allergic to it or its too powerful for you.

My boyfriend was 23 when he had all 4 of his wisdom teeth out. It was done in hospital under a general. Didnt get prescribed vicoden, just ibuprofen and anti-biotics. They seemed to work very well and he was eating solid foods the next day. It sounds like the vicoden are playing havoc with your stomach so definatly contact your doctor and see if they have an alternative.

Maybe you'd want to call the dentist and have his prescribe an alternative drug for the pain. If not, try Ibupropin. The pain won't last more than a week.
You're lucky. I didn't have my wisdom teeth out until I was 21 and by then the bottom teeth had become crowded. They used to be gorgeous and straight... and all of a sudden within a matter of weeks- they got crooked. I wish I had noticed it happening in time.
I know, I should have flossed. I would have noticed.
You'll have a gorgeous smile. The pain won't last long. Good for you.

I had all four pulled at the same time. I had no problems. vicoden can upset your stomach. as can any blood that they weren't able to suck out. Stick with Advil or Tylenol. not aspirin as it thins the blood. stick with soft bland foods for a couple of days. Ice cream is great. If your stomach is still bothering you call your DR. Good luck.

im so so soooo sorry that is the worst pain i have ever been in.... the vicoden most likely caused the stomach pain so dont take it anymore, advil or motrin is your best bet.... although those can cause upset stomach too so try to eat something... i lived off slim fast for 4 days. i cant even imagine the pain of throwing up too that really sucks so sorry.... dont forget to ice your face cuz your gonna wake up bruised and looking like a chipmunk also try doing something to keep your mind off it if you cant sleep... www.pogo.com saved my butt good luck hope you feel better

I drank hot water with jello mix for my stomach. I also sucked Freeze Pops for my mouth. I know the pain! I could not sleep for three days. I took Extra Strength Tylenol and held ice on my cheecks. I also took tums (antacid tablets). Try it, it should help.
The best way to lay down was to sit up and lay my head back on a stack of pillows.

i had all four of mine cut out... they weren't all the way in yet...
i lost so much blood i was weak...
but 2 of the extra strength vicodins helped very well.... they didn't make me too sick... it just got me high as a kite...
my stomach didn't bother me...
you should get some medicine that maybe wont make you as sick...
i know it sucks only being able to eat jello and stuff...
keep your head on pillows while in bed.... don't let your head be downwards...
don't suck on anything at all.... suction can cause a dry socket... and those suck VERY BAD...
i wish you the best of luck with everything... I hope this wasn't too long.

i had 4 pulled at the same time, i passed out from loss of blood and woke up hours later with an exploding headache. but no stomach pains go see a doctor

I don't know anything about vicoden..but if it's the reason that you threw up..maybe you need something to neutralize your stomach...I never had that problem. but if it's not better by morning I would phone the dentist and ask him/her.

Vicoden and other opiotes can upset your stomach really bad, so you might consider just taking tylenol or motrin for the pain.........
