No. The bible does not say that!! (responding the the first answer) It says that God allows certain people to be gay. They are just not supposed to act on their feelings. Meaning that God will let you be gay, but doesn't want you to play. Haha. No kissing, no sex..none of that. Although most gay people don't care about God in that way. Its sad though, that God would make people who can only look...and not touch. I feel for all those gay Christians who play by the rules.

"Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleaness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient....Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death" (Romans 1:24-32). God detroyed TWO ENTIRE CITIES AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS just because of the sin of SODOMY! (Genesis 18&19) And contrary to popular belief, SOME sins ARE greater than others! ALL sin leads to hell, this is true! And yet, if "sin is sin to God", then WHY did He distinguish the sin of SODOM, saying that "the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly." (Genesis 13:13)? The word "exceedingly" means BEYOND THE LIMITS OR BOUNDERIES OF WHAT IS NORMAL! This sin of sodomy is WORSE than almost ALL other sins! Also, he said that "the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous" (Genesis 18:20). This indicates that this particular sin is something that NAUSEATES GOD! And lastly, 1 Corinthians 6:9&10 lists "effeminate" and "abusers of themselves with mankind" (sodomites) as those who "shall NOT inherit the kingdom of God." God created "Adam and Eve", NOT Adam and Steve. And just from a LOGICAL standpoint, being a sodomite makes NO sense whatsoever! Because THINK: if EVERYONE was EXCLUSIVELY HOMOSEXUAL, what would happen to the human race? It would DIE OUT, would it not? There can be NO reproduction that results from ANY "homosexual union"! From a purely BIOLOGICAL standpoint, it is OBVIOUS that God intended sex to be between A MAN AND A WOMAN! And that, MARRIED TO EACH OTHER ONLY! Thus, it is IMPOSSIBLE for someone to be a Sodomite AND a Christian! According to the Bible, there IS no such thing!

Mostly because the Holy Bible says it is a sin, as a Christian you are trying to abstain from sin. To each their own but it would cause war on your soul having your faith and your sexuality at opposites. You need to decide which is more important to you personally. i believe you can be gay and spiritual but I do not see how being a Christian and gay could possibly work because one is totally againts the other. Good luck!

well, my parents raised me not to judge people so i don't have any kind of problem w/ gay people or their religions and relationships w/ God. But i guess since it is indeed stated in the bible that it is sure enough a sin for the same type of human gender to fall in love, have intercourse and get married, really religious people go crazy at the thought of 2 men or 2 women being together sexually. But i don't think it matters at all what your sexuality is because it's better to be gay and love God then to be gay and hate God. So, if you're gay keep doing what you please and don't let hyprocritical people keep you from worshiping who you believe in. XOxoXOxo --!!SYDNEY!!--

God didnt said you cant be a christian if you are gay...remember God loves you for whatever you are..And if people cant take that you are gay...you dont have to pay attention to what they are saying ...As long as you are not hurting anybody...You are a good Christian.
It's not your fault because you are gay..because before you came into this world God already planned for your future...You just always pray for those people wo are talking against you...so that they will be enlightened...t.c.

you know what i agree, there should be nothing stoping you from being christian and gay. u know one thing that ticks me off is one of those superstrict conservative christians i have nothing against them-hell one of them is my best friend (there isn't a dull conversation in our friendship thats for sure, lol)-but yeah you are allowed to believe what you want and be able to be any sexual orientation-as long as ur orientation isn't people younger than 13 years old(18 if ur 18 ^) or animals, lol-oh i'm barely noticing what u asked. well people think that because the christians whom you want to join believe what the first person who replied to you believes, they are not open minded, thats why

Because no matter what the religion, they all KNOW they're right...dumbasses. In the christian bible it says gay is evil, so gay=no christian...dumb but like l said, they're sure they're right. Every religion thinks the same way...their way or no way.

because they haven't studdied christianity and are afraid of the concept of homosexuality as normal and acceptable, they're afraid to accept persons whos lifestyle is different from theirs. they forget Jesus' message of universal acceptance, wich was central to his mission, and thereby refute their own claims to being christian, 'cause they've ceased to be.
tuche!
---
and where in the bible does it say, for all you ******* stupid litteralists out there, that homosexuality, is wrong. look for those words. or it'll be something like
thou shall not **** a person of thyne own gender.
...
give me chapter and verse.
---
now may I also point out that if God made everything in the world, we kind of have no choice but to accept God's work as devine and perfect. who are we to say that God has messed up. isn't he supposed to be omincient? and if God doesn't want people to be gay, then why'd God make them as such? are you trying to say that God isn't omnicient or that god isn't omnipotent? God is supposed to be omnipotent, therefore God who likes perfection and purity (genisis 1-- "and it was good"), would not make a creature which he deemed inferior or bad or imperfect and for the above reasons we must accept all persons as they are as we are christians and have no choice when it comes to doing what God says, right?
---
as for the verse:
you give it to me.
I'm not chasing after some non existant bible verse.
--
in a manuscript based compilation.
---
also god doesn't tend to write things down, so how can the bible be the "word of God?" it can't. it's somebody's oppinion about what God wants. may I also point out that the bible is simply a set of texts which suited the needs and beliefs of the roman catholic church at the time it was compiled originally. they futzed with the texts at will. therefore you cannot say that the bible is the complete word of god. look at all the gospels. there are like thirty of them. and they're all, by your standards the true and perfect word of god. that includes the judas and mary gospels.
so all that can be said for the bible is that it's the true word of the roman church in the tenth century.
that is to say, not much.

Most conservative christians beleive that God hates gays, so how could you possibly be a Christian? I don't agree with them at all, but that's how they feel.
