Dude.......

Jesus came first in 1st century A.D., whereas Muhammad came in 6th century A.D.

Well,

Jesus is God, whereas Muhammad according to Muslims is their last prophet & according to Christians John the Baptist is their last prophet.

Muhammad did not know anything about Jesus Christ, and simply tried to tell that Jesus is prophet, whereas Jesus is God.

Read John Chapter 1, it clearly says that Jesus is God.

Muhammad never existed during Jesus or before.

I hope you got your answer.

Muhammad, Religious Figure

Born: c. 570
Birthplace: Mecca (now in Saudi Arabia)
Died: c. 632 (natural causes)
Best Known As: Founding prophet of Islam
Muhammad is the central prophet of the Islamic faith. Born into the noble Quraish clan, he was orphaned at an early age. He grew up to be a successful merchant, then turned contemplative; Muslims believe the angel Gabriel appeared to Muhammad in a dream or trance when he was 40. He awoke convinced that the angel had revealed to him a message from Allah, or God, preserved on a tablet in heaven and now to be "recited" to the world. Muhammad spent the rest of his life winning converts and uniting Arabia behind the faith known as Islam (meaning "submission"), now one of the world's largest religions. His revelations, memorized and written down by followers, became Islam's holy book, the Koran (or Quran, meaning "The Recital").

As you can see by his birth he was born after Jesus, Jesus had been dead over 500 years before Mohammad

* Theory one:
Jesus was born circa 4 BCE and died circa 33 CE.
Mohammad was born circ 570 Ce and died circa 632 CE.

Mohamed knew enough about the Gospels, to make them canonical for Islam. [The other canonical texts in Islam are The Psalms, The Torah, and The Q'ran.]

There is no evidence to indicate that Mohammad accepted, or practiced any of the teachings of the Gospels.

* Theory two:
Jesus was created as a composite God in the mid-Second Century.
Mohammad was created as a mythological hero in the mid to late Ninth Century.

The creators of the Q'ran, elevate the Torah, Psalms, and Gospels to the status of Canonical material, in an effort to minimize the warring between the various tribes.

The historical, and archaeological evidence tends to support the existence of a historical Jesus, but a mythological Mohammad. [One of the strongest data points against the existence of Mohammad, is that Medina was not founded until a century after his alleged death. Other evidence supporting this thesis is the utter lack of documents about Mohammad, until the Ninth Century.]

Jesus (swt) came first. Mohammad (swt)again brought the same message brought by Abraham Noah Jesus and all the other prophets(swt=peace be upon them). The angel Gabrial revealed the Quran to Mohammad and in the Quran , The story of Mary(swt) and the virgin birth and of Jesus's(swt) miracles was confirmed but it was clarified that he was a prophet and messenger of God and not a God.

In Islam Both Jesus and Mohammad(peace be upon them) are held up as prophets.

Muhammad PBUH was born approxamitely 570 years after Jesus. Muhammad PBUH did know about Jesus when he became a prophet. As for some of the things that he said about Jesus:
-He explained that Jesus was not the son of God, nor God Himself, but merely a prophet (among the best nonetheless) and that he was not killed, but raised to God to the heavens where he is still alive now, waiting to come back to earth. Then he will restore peace before Judgement Day and kill the anti-christ. Then he will die like all humans do.

Muhammad PBUH is recorded to have said:
-"I am the nearest of all the people to the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus), and all the prophets are paternal brothers, and there has been no prophet between me and him."
-“Do not exaggerate in praising me as the Christians did in praising Jesus who was raised to the status of God’s son. I am a servant of God; therefore call me a servant and a messenger of God.”

Jesus died about 600 years before Mohammed refined Christianity into Islam.

As Judaism is to Christianity, so Christianity is to Islam.

Islam as its being practiced in many (not all) states today has gotten a terribly repressive twist. It has been and should be a very enlightened and egalitarian religion.

These days we are living in what will probably be known as the "Dark Ages" of Islam, much like what Christianity experienced in the period starting with the Crusades and lasting through the Inquisition.

The quran teaches us that Allah sent his messengers for a time for a period and place but after Muhammed Islam Islam was prescribed for all humankind and he was the last prophet.

Jesus did come before Muhammed, Allah teaches prophet muhammed about the stories of Jesus and his history, in which Allah corrects some of the mistakes Christians made like Jesus was NOT son of god, but a prophet a messenger from Allah.

Muhammed respected All previous messengers of Allah and of course there is a special place, for Prophet Jesus in a Muslims life

Islam came after Christianity. Muslims consider Jesus to be a prophet, but not the last prophet... according to Muslims that is Mohammed (pbuh)... Although I am not a Muslim, I say this out of respect.

Jesus Chirst came before Mohammed. Jesus is mentioned as a prophet in the Qu'ran as well, and yes, Mohammed knew of him(though Chirst came almost 600yrs before Mohammed) It is said in the Qu'ran that "Closest to God(aside from muslims I'm guessing)are those who call themselves Christians, for they are men devoted to learning, and have cast off all wordly things." So, in a nutshell....First came Jesus, then came Mohammed. Hope that hepled!
