Why do women say..?

Why do women say they are smarter than men but they make more bad decisions than they do? You can call me sexist all you want but it's true. A vast majority of women out there make alot of poor choices(alot of them in relation dating and relationships) compared to men. Is it just lack of common sense?

I'm a woman and I have to agree with you on the relationship part.

When it comes to bad decision making in relationships, women tend to take the cake.

Its not a lack of common sense, We know what we're getting ourselves into most of the time.
I think we lie to ourselves.
I myself think its not suppose to be this way, or this can't happen to me.
but in my heart, I know I'm just being what older women call "young and hopeful".
I know I'm going to get hurt,and I'm just waiting for it to happen.

Sometimes I try to teach myself not to become emotionally attached,but my XX chromosomes won't let me have it that way.

No. It's not "lack of common sense" or "lack of intelligence"... It has to do with the fact that women (in general) make decisions using more than intellect and common sense alone. They also use their sense of compassion, emotion, generosity, forgiveness, empathy, understanding, protectiveness, loyalty and inclination towards nurturing others, when deciding what to do (or not to do) or when making judgement calls in a relationship-situation. Men tend to stick with just logic and reasoning (in general) when making decisions, even in relationships. Women are more likely to take a chance on "love" or in "forgiveness" than men are.

Sometimes it is the risks and chances we take in life that either make or break us...but without them, where would we be? (No further ahead toward our dreams or our goals, that's for sure!)

It is a "fine line" between "courage" and "stupidity", and a sometimes treacherous one to walk, but the rewards, in the end, can outweigh the tears we may shed along the way.

Women got alot more to lose in a relationship stand point, and they tend to be more passionate about some stuff then us men. Its true they consider everything, then they get back together with the jerk that beats them and dont work. That and we could never know what its like to live like a women, always being smaller/weaker"compared to men in a physical comparison" its no wonder young girls leave there family's before most boys do.

Its easy to be a boy in the house, your helpful, and usally you bring good news, where most girls no matter who they date, is always going to date the wrong guy, and her parents dreams and expectations are so high that its very hard to do right. young women suffer from depression more then boys to and its a physiological issue"and chemical" They are not smarter in a sense, they just worry more about things, so that makes them experts!!

A lack of common sense cannot be used to answer this question. Its many things. Women naturally have more faith then men do. We WANT to believe things and some even go as far as convincing themselves that "no my b/f won't cheat". and things of that sort. Some women are stupid. Why do they stay with their abusive spouses? I dont 'know. Just like I don't know everyone says you have to fall for a bad guy. I never have. They aren't my type. We're needier, more open with our loving than most men. We crave the attention, we play mind games too but they backfire. Its a very complicated thing really.

It's true we woman don't make good judgement calls, we talk so much that it's a wonder men ever want to be with us. When I watch the TV show Two and a Half men with Charlie Sheen I think I'll bet all men would love to live that kind of life. Men are more sensible and think things out. My husband is my HERO.

Mostly, it's because they make emotional decision before they are mature enough to make them at age 24. Males think more from the logic side of their brains, but can make as equally stupid decisions. They don't reach emotional maturity until age 30, but even then, half their emotional and psychological makeup comes from a woman. Women may be more emotional, but they are better suited to handle to stresses of life. Men who remain single, live 10% less time than married men. They also commit suicide at a much higher rate. So, you may think women make poorer decisions due to their emotions, but we as men need that ability to hold up our own emotions.

I agree, for the most part women, or American women are so confused sometimes, they don't know what they want! They wanna do everything on their own, but yet They want a man to hold that door open for them. Women aren't dumb, but they do make poor choices, and most of it is due to many of them trying to be men or do things men normally do.

Oh, make no mistake about it. Men make some terrible moves when it comes to relationships. Women do too. It's a fact of life, and very few people learn how to overcome that fault! I have learned better, but most guys are not like me.

It's because we're programmed to believe in this "ideal love" that in reality does not exist. Take a look at movies today. It's always the "boy-meets-girl" kind of story. Even Disney starts little girls into believing that one day they will be swept away. These things convince us that if we are good enough we can turn the bad boys around. So, girls try their asses off to be good enough and 99% of the time it ends up in heart ache. Guys have a more realistic outlook on love

women are not smarter than men. they may be book smart in some cases, but the reality of it is that most of them are just dumb *****. of course they make TONS of bad decisions in relationships...what with all the phases and stuff... i hope someday they wise up, because as of now i don't know if i'll ever find a girl who's smart and hasn't messed up her life w/ some moron.

Well I never say women are smarter than men, but I don't say men are smarter than women either. I haven't made any fatal relationship choices, so I couldn't tell you. But why does it matter?
