The FBI looks for candidates who have a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice related areas, Science /Engineering, Accounting/Finance, or Foreign languages.

They are looking for people who are fluent in: Aribic, Farsi, Pashtu, Urdu, Chinese (all dialects), Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese.

Candidates will be required to successfully pass a written and oral exam, medical and physical exams, a psychological assessment, and an exhaustive background check. Also, applicants must be between 23 and 36 years old at the time of appointment.

Well one of the things you can check out is FBI.gov they have all of the information their. However usually the majority of people who are taken have some prior law enforcement experiance and if your looking to work out in the field you must be able to be open to travel in FBI jurisdiction and be elegible for confidential clearance at times. Also they do a real in depth criminal background check and drug test. But other than that and having some kind of college degree you should be fine.
