From my experience all relationship are a power play for control to some degree. Head games are oblivious to extremely subtle. Not to play in some form means you have yet to realize this.
My suggestion for you would be to find someone whom compliments your means of control. Because it is clear by your remarks of "I hate it", "refuse", "piss me off", along with your solution to walk off, demonstrates your need to be the leader in any relationship. Apparently you wish to be dominant with your other. So find a passive and rule the roost.

Me personally, I'm grown I don't have time for games thats what recess was for and I'm not in school anymore. Best thang is keep it real, if your not tru it will come back and bite you in the *** so all you can do is be honest
