At least 7 weeks old..Mom may wean them at 6 weeks, but they need to stay with her and the litter until 7 weeks, as it is like kindergarten for them..they learn so amuch about being a dog during that last week..They learn to inhibit their bite, and to play well with others, and how to accept discipline from their mom...Dogs that are separated earlier, are harder for the new owners to train, and are harder to socialize.

Hold up. At the very least would be 8 weeks. And I think that somewhere between 8 1/2 to 10 would be the best. It's a real drag when you get to see some of the puppies that you let go and they are still sucking on a blanket or something like that because they were taken away from the mommy too soon.
Babies need all of the nutrients and 'mommy lovin'' that they can get. And you are the one in charge of this. It's not gonna be such a pain in the but to keep them until they are 9 weeks.
A young friend of the family brought over a 6 week old puppy. And it really looked to me that it was way too young to be away from her mother. He is packing her around. And whoever sees the puppy says...'ohhhhh, let me hold her...' and at that age it was wayyy too young! B
But, thank goodness that this puppy was not overwhelmed to the point of death. And this can happen easy. She is now 9 weeks and has taken everything well and is a happy and 'very' active girl.
It's up to you what you want to do .....but please, keep them at least to the 8 week point.
HAPPY PUPPY'UNS TO YOU!!!!!! ;o)

There are actual laws for this sort of thing, and they vary from state to state. In my state puppies need to be at least 8 weeks old, that is considered the minimum amount of time that they should spend with the mother if possible.

Of course, this can also vary from puppy to puppy, some are not ready then and some "seem" to be ready sooner, but 8 weeks is a good rule of thumb.

Good luck!

Not before 8 weeks. If you remove them from their litter mates before then the puppies will suffer behavior problems which could lead to their being euthanized by the new owner.
Be careful giving puppies away. The animal science labs love free dogs. And just because the people look like a nice couple doesn't mean they are. There are a lot of crazy people as well who will get a free dog just to kill it. Trust me because I have seen it before, it's horrible. Unspeakably so...

As long as possible! I would wait at LEAST until 8 weeks of age, even though they will be weaned at around 6. Those extra two weeks are absolutely needed as that is when their mother teaches them a lot of necessary skills, especially in socialization. Puppies given away too soon are much harder to socialize.
And, of course, SPAY YOUR DOG as soon as you can after all of this. There is no need for pet overpopulation and thousands of animals getting euthanized every year. This is SO IMPORTANT.
Good luck with the puppies and make sure they have a lot of loving human contact as they grow older and are ready to be given away to loving homes (assuming that you will of course screen every adopter!). This will help their socialization immensely.

at least 8 weeks old. Even though most puppies have been totally weaned by 6 weeks, they are still learning social skills and how to be a dog from mom and siblings and should be kept together until at least 8 weeks.

On average they should be 8 weeks old and be completely weened off the mom and if you can swing it most buyers like to see the first set of shots done. Future if this was a accident get the dog fixed it will save you alot of hassle in the long run.
