Does anyone else notice that out here in Cali, a lot of black women are with white men? Not that I'm against that, since I moved out there, white men are all I've been with, but then again, theres a lot of white men around me in my proffesional field. Why do some of you think that is?

Well I'm not from cali but would love to move there. But for why you might date the white guys more is because and I've read this in a magazine article some time ago. Is because for black women as we are becoming more professional and more driven in our work places, we want someone on our level and don't want to date someone in a lesser position that a black man may be in. Also we usually like to date ppl that have similar interests to us and in the same closer environment. Hope that helps.

Because of the way the media portrays us black women. We are seen as sex objects, the ultimate sexual fantasy or whatever. I'm going to reference the Duke lacrosse team. A group of white boys hire 2 black female strippers. Why on earth would they hire black women??? I'm probably wrong though...
Lol, 1st off my name is Stef...no one ever really calls me Stefy. Lol. But hey, if you never got that vibe from your white boys, that's great...just remember guys will say and do anything to get in your pants (I'm going to credit that to Lyfe Jennings - S.E.X.). Oh yeah, since you're out in Cali, it's way more socially acceptable for interracial relationships. $hit, look at all the gay relationships out there. Anytime you have that high of a concentration of "taboo" (according to the Midwestern states), then of course it's going to be a lot of other differences that are much more tolerated there.

Perhaps due to cultural differences, black women are often easier to be friends with. And many white men having experienced too many rejections from white women opt to be friends with black women instead.
Not so long ago, I've known one young black woman who had two white men competing with each other and running around after her. And I could see why they both liked her so much. She was very friendly with both of them. And she obviously didn't want to hurt the feelings of either one.
She was physically attractive but not exceptionally so. It's her friendly and easy-going attitude that these white men liked so much.
I've never seen any white woman treat her man so well.

I'm a senior in high school in central cali...I've noticed this too. Not so much with people my age, but with those in their 20's and up... Its cool. I dont' mind at all. I think its because we tend to be more "open-minded" on the West Coast. And I have to rememeber that slavery has its roots on the east coast. Maybe thats why...

maybe the guys you like that happen to be white have the qualities that you want; professional, neat, respectful, whatever. not saying that black men aren't just saying if you want certain things and you seem to find them in white men that's cool. i'm all for interracial relationships.
