if the speed limit is 55 " depending on were u live" why do people buy cars that can do 160mph? i have never realy understood that mayb you can explain it to me

Quick pickup on a car is more important, especially in split second acceleration you may have to make to avoid an accident.
As far as the fastest car, unless you have your own private track, you will eventually get a ticket if you drive like the stunt drivers do in those manipulative commercials.

I seriosuly doubt that most of the people who buy a fast car because its a fast car would pay attention to the speed limit.

well some ppl wanna go fast!
so fast cars are really ment to show off that says that ya i got a fast car!
but unless their is a track around that city or town then their is no point in ouning it!
fast cars usually offer u good acceleration so some shows @ stop lights! but yes unless u have a track or a fast car club (ie. porshe, jaguar, mercades, vw, clubs) then their is no point in really ouning it..., unless u wanna show off to ur cums, girls, or just so random ppl!

I know you are going to find this difficult to believe, but people don't always obey the speed limit. I don't know that it needs much more explaining than that.

I have always wondered that as well. My husband loves fast cars and I have always asked him questions like that. He just looks at me like I'm complete idiot. (But he's not the type that does that for no reason) You have made me feel like I might actually be a rational human being by asking this question.

Duh, a fast car is just a big sign that says, look at it, not me; I'm cool because of it. Some people say it's to make up for lacking in other departements, if you catch my drift.
