I had my first 2 naturally, no drugs. I really thought it was how I was supposed to do it. I was 20 and 21 when they were born. My first was 9 1/2 pounds! At 26, I had my 3rd and last baby and went with the epidural. It was an entirely different world! I would so recommend it! I was able to rest a lot more before the pushing, my husband and I had a much better interaction, and it was physically much easier on me. The only drawback was that they had to give me a double dose, so I couldn't walk for a day and a half. My baby had to be in the nursery for awhile and I couldn't go in there with him, but my husband and his parents were able to.
Definitely go with the epidural!

I have had 3 kids, and I had an epidural with my oldest. My 2nd was an emergency c section and my baby was a repeat c section. Epidural gave me problems. I got too much and it went into my lungs and so the doctor wouldn't let me push for 2 hours. They said I could stop breathing if I pushed. That was so painful...having to push and them not letting me, so I wouldn't recommend an epidural if possible.

I had no meds at all, had my son natural he was 7lbs. 12.2 oz. And I would do it again in a heart beat. I was very happy with my choice. It hurts but my husband and I are not sure if we are going to have anymore kids I want one or two more he only wants one baby. So I made the choice to go natural just in case I didn't have anymore babies. but like I said I would do it again!!!!!!!

i had to be induced and they gave me a choice a epidural or a c-section. i chose the epidural, although the doctor made me wait till it wore off. so i ended up having my son naturally and it hurt.....
