Conn started out as a middleweight, then went to the lt heavyweight division,both ray and conn in their prime as middleweights.

WOW!!! Great question, I never thought of that. Conn would be the Heavyweight champion... if he could have danced 1 more round. But in the rematch he was dusted. I honestly don't know, but I'd have to go with Ray because he never had a bad incident until he was old, Conn got KOed in 1 in Louis' rematch. Again, I don't know. You have circles in boxing, for instance, Vargas beat Wright, Wright beat Mosley, Mosely beat Vargas. There are so many, that is just the most recent. I have to LOOSELY go with Robinson.

Sugar Ray Robinson for sure! He was, pound for pound, the greatest boxer ever. Even Muhammad Ali who called himself the greatest says that Ray was the best and Ali himself was the greatest heavyweight.

I believe that this would be a very close fight with both fighters having great ring skills and boxing ability. I believe that Ray wins a split decision in this one. Great question!
