Yes, sometimes I through her scraps of my foods but I don't think that it is a good idea to start doing that all the time because you dog might stop eating their dog food and they need the nutrients from that but it is ok to feed you dog some scraps from you plate every once in a while. <3

It's not a very good idea to feed table scraps to a dog. It creates bad habits and your dog will be forever begging you for more.

No, never! I can't stand dogs who beg and hang around the dinner table. By throwing scraps while you're eating, it encourages them to beg. We give her human food once in a while, but it is either inside her kong and not during dinner, or in her crate as a treat.

Yes, but my dogs are trained not to beg for food and they are required to lay in the other room until we are finished eating, if they do so without coming to the table and begging then they will get some leftovers, if they beg they get nothing. Also they are only allowed certain things and never bones! Generally they dont get anything because I do not make dinner often because I live alone, when I have visitors they get more, but I monitor to make sure they dont get sick from eating too much! Throwing your dog food while you are eating is unwise to say the least as it causes them to beg more and can lead to dominance issues because in the dogs eyes he is forcing you to relenquish your food to him and this puts him one step above you on the social ladder. This can lead to the dog becoming aggressive in the future if you one day refuse to give in to his begging. Trust me, don't ever allow the dog to bully you into giving him everything he wants because I have seen what it can lead too... I have seen dogs attack someone who refused to give them thier food at the table because of years of bad training, and allowing the dog to become the boss.

yes and no
Yes I feed my animals table food, left overs, we even cook for them fairly regular. But,
No, never from the table and never when we're eating.
We have found that making a little extra when we cook, enough to feed our animals, to be healthier and cheaper than regular pet food. We make a chicken soup just for them about once a month also. It's supposed to be very beneficial to their health. We make extra broth to add to their dry food and to rice.
Nothing goes to waste. They've come to like just about everything.
We even treat them to ice cream once in a while. They love it and a little half and half, as a treat on occasion.

if you do feed them table scraps only once in awhile and put in their food dish you should neverr feed any dog from the table it creates bad habits. I feed my two dogs veggies alot and they love it especially if they have sauce or a little butter on them.

Ours get a nibble now and then. On weekends they usually get a bit of scrambled eggs. A little table food is okay as long as it is not their only food. It should just be an occasional treat.

well, not as much as my husband does. he's a real soft touch. our vet suggested we open a can of green beans to give the dogs. they don't care what they eat, as long as it comes from the table. the green beans are good for them, too.

Yep...............
I also cook for my dog and feed the raw diet.

Do not give cooked bones as they are brittle after being cooked and can splinter in the dogs throat and intestines and cause many problems. Only give raw bones.
