See what I mean?? All I have to do is mention religion, and I will get instant feedback. If I asked "What if Jesus was a tranvestite?" I would probably get a shitload of responses, lol.
Hmmm, maybe I will....

LOVE Jared's answer.... But in actuality, I think it should be possible for intelligent people to be able to exchange opinions or viewpoints without getting "personal" or taking offence... thats what the entire Site is FOR.. for us to ask and/ or answer questions. to share knowledge, and even to gain knowledge from others... I read a question, and if it's something I don't care to know about, I don't scroll down to read the answers... I simply go to the next one, or go to a different catagory... Why get offended, upset, or even question the purpose of the questions, when any of us can leave at the click of a button?

Because rather then people trying to just accept one another they would rather waste good peoples time by fighting about religion. Seems silly to me. I say to each there own live and let live. If someone doesnt agree with someone religion say ok that is you view and as a person i respect you for what you belive and walk away. But I guess that sometimes that just to difficult for people to do. Sad but thats what it seems to come down to. People need to learn that for every single person religion means somthing different and they should just respect that.

it's a public forum. so why not? religion is a CATAGORY HERE!! don't know why every one is getting so bent that folks want to talk about it. DON'T OPEN IT IF YOU SEE IT'S RELIGIOUS!!! i'm so sick of rude people on here. and the saddest part is that it's usually under the RELIGION section, which by the way is an option!!! i know i'll get some smart a$$ remarks, and you know what you can do with them. i'm not religious. but at least i respect others right to FREE SPEACH!!!!

Christians have already claimed a war on Atheists. Don't you watch the 700 club?

It is now a defensive effort of Atheists to preserve our freedoms against these opressive reloginists.

The 700 club has also declaired war on Musslims, Hindus, Democrats, Gays, and Science. Is there anything the they don't want to destroy?

Well we usually get things quieted down for a few days and then we get new people and hecklers in here. Please try to keep the language polite and no insults of each others groups and we do pretty good.

Glad to have you join us. Just report the really rude ones for abuse. correct the not as rude ones when they need it and watch out for the impersonators(there are several posing as legitimate users here including stealing their picture and ID).

This is a section where we can express and share our views about religion. With differing views there will be conflict from time to time. I actually enjoy when someone questions my faith. It gives me a chance to study and see if what I believe is true or not.

i think the deal is that people are starting to recognize that the right wing christian fundamentalists are as serious and dangerous as the fundamentalist islamists - and both are used by evil men trying to gain or consolidate power.

we don't want to be forced to pay taxes to support other people's religions, we don't want our children indoctrinated in schools, at our tax expense, in other people's religions. since appealing to the constitution and american legacy no longer makes a dent in the minds of the zealous followers of fundamentalism, everyone is having to learn this bible inside and out to demonstrate that it is not , in fact, handed down from God on high to rule all of us.

the stakes are high, and therefore, so are passions.
