Do you think that it is the spirit that guides the physical, or the other way round?

It is for us to discover that from within we will find our way forward, helped with what the physical can learn along the way to contribute to the well being of the spirit.

LOVE is the key and the only way!

Before Jesus ascended He said "With you I leave my Love and Peace". This is the key that is inside of us, and we need to discover inside of us, to really help us be spiritually aware, and work TOGETHER. Later Mohammad reiterated this message, talking of The Spirit working within us. It is there for all, if only we could turn and see and hear.

the human is divided into three parts, body,spirit and soul. as all things take physical form when viewed in three dimension, so also is man complete in three dimensions.

the soul of man is the real part of that man that belongs to him. that is the part of man that is actually "the man". you will find that God refers to the soul when talking about punishment for man and blessings.(see " the soul that sins shall die" and " I wish above all things that thou prosper, even as thy soul prospereth"). it is the decision taker in man.

the spirit is the part that comes from the body of God to make man both alive and unique. (see Gen 2:7). it is the first time that we find something come directly from the Lord to dwell upon His creation. that spirit is the knowledge base of man. it creates a link between the creator and the created and provides a link to the Divine for guidance.

the body is just a physical entity that provides a dwelling for both the spirit and soul. its the least important, yet the most cherished by man for obvious reasons that its the part that is seen.

when we become born again and the spirit of God comes into us and the seperation that happened when man fell in the garden of eden, between the spirit and soul is repaired and allows us unlimited free flow to all the powerful resources that God has in store in heaven.

I think the spirit guides the physical because God has the plan for each one of our lives and so we are guided through life even if we don't recognize it. The Holy Spirit is a ghost for a reason, other wise we would know where we end up in life if we could see everything being played out.
Though it seems we have all the freedom in the world, God has a plan that works with whatever we do because he guided you to do want you want and whatever you do everday. (if that makes any sense at all)

I think the spirit should be our guide but to many only care about the body or put to much envasis on the mind ignoring the spiritual aspect of our being

Jesus said that He would send us a comforter, aka Holy Spirit. We all have been given free will and can choose whether we want to be guided by the Holy Spirit.

The spirit SHOULD guide the physical. Unfortunately, that is not how it is often seen. The physical is the flesh and the flesh is sin. The spirit is is holy and should overpower the flesh. God should dwell inside and guide our hearts and our lives.

Man has 3 parts. Body, Soul and Spirit. A worldly man's soul is subject to his body. He responds to physical desires. A spiritual man's soul is subject to his spirit. He is able to control his body and deny it's needs for a higher purpose.

It is the soul which activates the physical body. which was made as a temporary housing for the soul to live in this physical universe
if you cannot find me within you .you will not find me without.Jesus' words and one of the ways to salvation. to find your soul whis is a part of the Creator which was made before the creation of the physical universe.
