Okay so i have long black hair and its in layers but the smallest layer is around my shoulder so i've been seeing alot of girls lately that have like a pony tail and bangs coming out almost to the sides and it looked pretty cool so ive been thinking about getting them.
My hair is kinda wavy but most people think its more straight(although not enough for me). So i dont want the bangs to look retarded.
also what are different types of bangs and what are the differences?
I also have round face..will they work?
Does anyone know a website where i can see hair styles for different face types.

I say have them cut, if you don't like them you can always sweep them to the side for a while intill they grow long enough to pull them back or whatever. I wear mine at an angle to the side, they look really nice when my hair is down & cute when it's pulled back.

I LOVE bangs! I have side-swept bangs that are a little below my nose. I like the look and it fits my face. Sometimes it's tough 2 get my bangs straight due to my hair's texture, but when it's straight it looks really classy. Go 2 www.hairboutique.com. Search for bangs or search the forum there. At most malls there's a boths where you take pictures for like about 3.00 dollars, and it shows you different hair styles and you choose the one you want so you could kind of get an idea how you will look with short or long hair?

I have side swept bangs but my face isn't round. ALTHOUGH side-swept bangs look best on a round face. i forgot the reason but I read it in Seventeen magazine. So yeah, if you really want it go for it, but if you aren't sure find a way to see what you look like with bangs before getting them. Good luck!

well i dont think that short bang are still in style ... no offence i mean like me i have sholder length hair and i have longer bangs and i think it looks good,.. well u said that u have layered hair and tha shortist is to ur sholder ... well mybe if u got shorter layers then u wouldnt have to get bangs ya know

OMG! i have like the same situation! except i have brown hair with high-lights! yea i always see ppl with the side bangs and yesterday my mom cut my hair (shes a professional) and its sooooo cute u should totally do it!!

Go for it! Trying new things are good. So in the future you can see what works. Get sidebangs. Currently they're in style!

NO!!!! Don't do it!!! You;ll regret it. I got them and they are driving me insane. Don't do it. Let all your hair grow out and only trim the ends. Much sexier.
