(Genesis 1:26) The [Elohim] said, "Let us make humanity in our own image, in the likeness of ourselves, and let them be masters of the fish of the sea, the birds of heaven, the cattle, all the wild beasts and all the reptiles that crawl upon the earth." Elohim is a plural word, including male and female, and should properly be translated "Gods" or "Pantheon." (1: 27) The Gods created humanity in the image of themselves, In the image of the Gods they created them, Male and female they created them. (1:28) The Gods blessed them, saying to them, "Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and conquer it. Be masters of the fish of the sea, the birds of heaven and all living animals on the earth."

So many to choose from. I'll stop at Genesis Chapter 1:
Genesis
God creates light and separates light from darkness, and day from night, on the first day. Yet he didn't make the light producing objects (the sun and the stars) until the fourth day (1:14-19). 1:3-5
God spends one-sixth of his entire creative effort (the second day) working on a solid firmament. This strange structure, which God calls heaven, is intended to separate the higher waters from the lower waters. 1:6-8
Plants are made on the third day before there was a sun to drive their photosynthetic processes (1:14-19). 1:11
In an apparent endorsement of astrology, God places the sun, moon, and stars in the firmament so that they can be used "for signs". This, of course, is exactly what astrologers do: read "the signs" in the Zodiac in an effort to predict what will happen on Earth. 1:14
"He made the stars also." God spends a day making light (before making the stars) and separating light from darkness; then, at the end of a hard day's work, and almost as an afterthought, he makes the trillions of stars. 1:16
"And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth." 1:17

I have no a favourite verses of Bible because I am not a christian >As a moslem I believe that almost most of bible's verses are false or wrong. Many verses were changed by its writer in line with their interest such as pig meat is forbidden but in the bible its is changed by an added word forest that is forest pig.The birth of Jesus on Dec 25 was only a statement without written
evidence. That date is the celebration day of Roman people.
My favourite verses is all verses of our holy book Al Qur'an of islamic teaching ,the latest religion from our God Almighty. We can not take it only certain verses because as a whole it is our life guidance which should be practiced in our daily life by all of its followers..

In Jeremiah 33:20-21...showing the impossibility of man to change Gods word and his promises to us or promises period.
20. Thus saith the Lord; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;
21. Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
God bless

one of my best verse is Proverbs 9:10
always remember that..."Your beauty should not come from outward adornment such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes.Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfaiding beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit which is of great worth in God's sight."
I remember my bestfriend in HS and will always be my bestfriend gave me a picture of us as a present on my birthday with this quote embedded at the back of the picture, actually she's the one who first introduced me to the Christian world, though we're far away with each other and havent seen her for 5 yrs., im praying that she'll have a safe delivery, yes, she's having a baby girl, ok i think im gonna cry, just want to share the story with you, God Bless.

There are so many. I like many that have been made into songs. 'Better is one day in your court', 'Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall be saved and come with singing into Zion. And everlasting joy will be upon their head...'

Revelation 21:3-4
"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of god is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
Such a joyous description of what it will be like when we shall be with God for all eternity!
