Either my brother or his friends stole about 50 bucks from me while I was gone for four days, I know it's either one of them but they keep denying it. How do I get them to tell the truth? How can I prove he's lying?

I think strapping electrodes on their testicles will do the trick. Barring that, make each of them pay half and one of them will rat the other out (a la Solomon in the Bible). ;)

Edit: I've got a better one!!! Just say "Damn...and that was the $50 that I had coated in anthrax to give to my boss. Oh well, I guess the bugger who stole it should be getting symptomatic any day now....." ;)

What happens in the dark always comes into the light You may just have to wait some time but this kinda thing ends up telling on themselves, because right now you can not get a straight answer from the one who took it.Be patient and do not trust either of them with anything again until you find out the truth

At this point I don't think there is anything that you can do. They will just continue to deny it. I know it will be hard, but your just going to have to take the loss of the money. And next time don't leave any money in your room. And I advise you to get a lock on your door. And keep the key to yourself !!!!!!!

You can concoct some story about someone witnessing them do it, and have your friend vouch for you as a witness. Then maybe one of them will fess up. Or you could just take 50 bucks from your brother, and pretend to not know what happened.

I had this happen once, a babysitter stole a 100 dollar bill, I told her it had special marks on it, and if she had already spent it, the stores could easily identify it, she came clean, she still had it. I would tell them they were the only ones who had access to it, and you will report it to the authorities if need be

You can't "make" him tell the truth and you can't "prove" who is lying. They all sound like a bunch of chumps, keep your valuables safe and consider yourself lucky for knowing that you can't trust any of them, which will reduce your risk for losing more.

you obviously cannot trust your brother so don't and let him know you don't and can't and won't trust either of them. and don't help them out. next time they need a ride home or money for cigerattes or bottle of water etc remind them you are still saving up to replace that missing $50.00 if you are tenacious enough they will come clean in a couple of months.

Thats sad your brother would steal money from you, best thing to do is don't give him another chance to do it....no way he is gonna admit it. If he was low life enough to STEAL from his own family then what makes you think he is man enough to tell the truth
