What does DOA means? Eventhough i speak very good english i'm not a native english speaker, nor I live in the US. I've heard this expression many times but don't know what it means...like, "my life's DOA"

"Dead on Arrival" would be the common breakdown of this acronym as in the "Friends" theme song but over the years several people have used it in other ways such as:
Band name: "Dead or Alive"
Band name: "Dogs on Acid"
Government uses: "Department of Administration", "Division of Adminstration", "Department of Agriculture", "Department of Accounting"
Good luck :)

DOA = dead on arrival
It is originally a designation which hospitals use to classify patients who were already dead when they arrived by ambulance at the hospital. More recently, the term is used to describe something which is dead.

It means Dead On Arrival - usually when someone is taken by ambulance to hospital.
I assume 'my life's DOA' means 'my social life is terrible, even before it got started.

Do you mean that you meant the word "mean" in its original meaning or are you too mean to meet my mean standards? Oh, I'm going to start moaning about your mixing up all those m-words...
