Fish is not like other meats....whereas meat, like red meat, beef, can age and gets more tender, Fish must not age....the longer it remains uncooked after being caught the more it degenerates, a nice word for,,,it rots. Fish has a freezer life of about one week, and when you can smell a fish smell from the fish you are buying, DONT buy it. Having a fishy smell, very light, is the first sign of going bad.
Fish that has scales, are a much cleaner variety, such as Tuna, Salmon, Trout,,,whereas the bottom feeder fish tend to ingest more garbage, toxic and heavy metals, none of which are very healthy, that include, Cod, and Halibut.
Baking or broiling a fish will be done best if wrapped in Aluminum foil, to prevent the flesh from drying....Fish cooks very quickly, and six or seven minutes on medium heat will usually be about right... Frying small trout seems best, butter or olive oil and using a flour or corn flour coating can be very delicious. Sincerely

"Do you eat fish?"

I eat fish when I don't "THINK" about it.

I like the new tuna in the pouches (Lemon-pepper tuna) . Putting that in the microwave (out of the pouch), adding some butter and some Romano cheese on top of it and it's very cool.

I like to eat shrimp --cold, but only if it's been cleaned good.

(of course, I don't eat these often because the prices are very high, so on occasion , it's okay )

Although I used to love the taste of lobsters, i cannot eat them because the process is so cruel. I can't imagine being boiled alive in a hot water pot.

Yes, lobsters have feelings. Yes, lobsters feel the boiling water as they are being cooked alive.

So, the lobster part that's hard. I try not to eat it at all . And the good thing is that lobster is so expensive that I don't have the urge to go out and buy any. So, in the past, I've eaten lobster -usually tails- about once every ten or twenty years.

I won't buy any fish at all from Chinese dealers . I've been to Chinatown in the city here and I've seen those fish, eels and all , suffering from the way they treat them.

Yes, killing fish hurts too but torturing them is so very unnecessary.

There's a deal er in Chinatown that sells fish and veggies and all and in the store they have flat plans of water and some kind of eels crowded into the pans. You can see the eels faces coming out of the water because they are so crowded. You watch as the eels gasp for air or water .

They are being slowly and I mean slowly tortured. And, no one does anything about it. WE can, by not buying from these dealers.

Why is the cruelty necessary ?

It is not.

So, I eat NO fish from Chinese dealers and or from Chinese imports.

And, yes, I'd love to cut out all fish but that's not happening right at this moment.

I like fish live --in aquariums mostly.

Yesterday, I saw fish being sold in a dollar store in downtown Brooklyn. They actually had bags and bags of fish (SIamese Fighting fish ) "BETTA" fish for sale. First time i've seen that in a dollar store.

Yes, I eat fish occasionaly, just sometimes.

I don't eat it often, just sometimes.
