First of all WE cannot stop it. WE elected the corrupt officials that do not care for anything other than lining their own pockets. How many people actually voted for BUSH anyway? It was one of the biggest mistakes we have ever made. He got my cousin paralyzed. Not to mention he wants to open up the borders and allow as many in that wish to come in. I say that if they want to be here do it legally but not until we are again allowed to buy land in Mexico. We live in a town full of Mexicans and there is nothing we can do to stop them. When INS comes they call into work and most of the factory is gone and they have to shut down. They ones that DO manage to get deported are back in a week. The messed up part is that they only work for 6-12 months and then take 2-3 years off and go home to bask in the life of leisure because everything is so cheap down there. They support a family between 8-12 for 2-3 years one one years salary.

The number of Mexicans isn't finite. The real causes of Mexican immigration are (1) a weak economy over there and (2) over population over there. Until those problems are fixed, we'll have immigration problems here.

Most people who gripe about immigration only want to treat the symptom--the actual immigration--and ignore the problem. Mexico needs to control its unsupportable population growth and increase opportunties for people to enter the middle class and improve their living conditions.

It would help our country to help them do this. And helping Mexico to grown and prosper would cost a lot less than militarizing the border. As an added bonus, it keep the United States--a country made up 98.5% from immigrants and their descendents--from acting like hippocrites on the subject of immigration.

ok here is the problem u guys since u guys dont have to suffer through hunger or know anything about poverty. In mexico there is an economic problem if u didnt alredy know, people get paid about 500 pesos which here in the US is 50 dollars a week. Mexicans and OTHER illegals come to the united states to survive and try to have a decent life, My dad had to wait 5 years to get the permit he neede to come to the united states and we almost died. Yes its true mexico should try to fix its economy but its not that simple because there is alot of **** going on, we all think its easy cuz we live in the safest place in the world, i bet that if any of us who are lucky enough not to be starving were living somewhere else and we needed to come to the us to survive we wouldnt even think about it twice!! well i know because when i was smaller i know what it feels like when u r truly hungry, and WE HISPANICS, MEXICANS, LATINOS DONT LIKE TO BE CALLED BEANERS, BEAN BAGS WHAT EVER ONLY WE CAN CALL EACH OTHER THAT NOT U WHITE PPL, SO GO F*** OFF K, AND U PROBABLY DONT LIKE TO BE CALLED CRACKERS, OR DO U MY CRACKERS??? yea well it was nice to have this conversations buh bye

If I were President, I would immediately order that we: (1) undo the INS, (2) allow anyone to come into the U.S. as long as they get an ID, (3) legalize marijuana, (4) use the billions saved from INS and weed law enforcement to educate people.

People come here from all over the planet, not just from Mexico. Here's a clue: ITS BEEN HAPPENING FOR THE LAST 70 YEARS. The result: we have a strong economy, low unemployment and a better standard of living than most of the world. So CHILL my anglo friends. Just Chill.

We have too many people period. Let America rest for a few years. I once had the figure--for all who want to come and are on a waiting list--it was amazing. People need to come in an orderly way-so do it legally or expect others to think your rude and disorderly and immoral.

Add on-found it
If there were no numbers, then there would be no policy. In other words, there are approximately 300,000,000 Chinese and 200,000,000 Indians, and 200,000,000 others who would like to work in the US. There has to be some kind of policy, or overwhelmed would not be an apt description of what would happen."

I would think at least half have a sad story

I guess the Bush Administration is the right guy to answer this, since they have pretty much stopped enforcing the laws we had.

Just check out Lou Dobbs website. The facts are pretty alarming. And of course Fox comes over and basically tells the American Congress what they will do and they bend over and say Si. I sure wish Ann Coulter would focus on the real traitors in this country.

Don't Blame me I didn't vote for ANY of the Bushes but as we know this has been a problem way before the Bush administration. Although his remedies for this problem ARE AMONG THE WORST SUGGESTED YET. I still say they all need to go back to Mexico and clean in up starting with there govt. As beautiful as places are there I will not go as I do not like to vacation with guys with machine guns standing around and guys stopping the tour bus to collect a bribe from its passengers. The drinking water, let me re-phrase that, the dirty water is undrinkable. Fix your own country then maybe we'll be sneaking in to your country to live.

None, most of them are on welfare and taking my hard earned dollars for free. If they want to come into the U.S. then they need to do it legally. There should also be a law that would only provide them with assistance for a small amount of time and a small amount of money. They also need to be sterilized until they have proved they can support a family. I'm not a racist I swear, in fact I come from a hispanic heritage. This comment goes for all races not just mexican nationals.

To rednecksuc, No we did not , just let anyone in 100 yrs ago. They had to come here legally. They had to swear an oath to our country. They had to have a sponser. They had to have a job lined up., also if you showed the slightest bit of illness, you went back. You had too also learn English. there were no signs in Italian, or German or Slovak or any other nationality.Look up American History on immigrants.
They also did not have all the welfare programs back then that they have now. Back then, No Work No eat!

Why don't you ask our govt. that question?

I mean with Mexico in turmoil, with the newly elected president, being a conservative, EXPECT more illegals! He only represents a small wealthy class, the poor, ie. illegals will only seek to migrate here, or they will continue falling through the cracks....

Besides, this issue should have been addressed, say 30 years ago? If we were serious about illegals back then, we would never have this problem today.

I agree with you, something must be done to stop the flow.
