It's a parable Jesus told.
He is talking about seeking out and finding the greatest treasure of all.
His advice is to not get dragged down by the small insignificant "treasures" of this life and instead set them all aside to gain the greatest treasure of all: salvation through Jesus.
So believe Jesus and set aside your own desires and seek first the kingdom of God, then God will provide more than you could have ever hoped or dreamed of.

It's Mormon scripture. You should be able to find it at any bookstore, or at your local Mormon stake.
If you are looking for more information about the LDS faith and go to the stake, be prepared for a hard sell. My sister is LDS, and, in spite of the fact that I'm a Christian and have rejected that faith, she still tries to get me to come to her place for "Family Home Evening." Be informed, but be careful...

I think you're talking about a pearl necklace. Ask your boyfriend to give you one.

It's a supplemental Mormon reading. I'm sure any Mormon would be thrilled to share it with you. No, I'm not a Mormon
