eg: A family flees to the US, work desperately hard (at jobs no one else wants) for everything they have to make a better home for themselves & their families...how is this so harmful.
This isn't a sarcastic question...I honestly want to know how folks feel about this.

Illegal immigrants get free medical care, their kids get a free education.

In many states they can even get food stamps.

OK Americans Problems with the government deal with the fact that there not doing ENOUGH to STOP illegals. As for you saying Illegals flee here to make a better life for there families COOL WHY NOT DO IT LEGALLY? It's HONESTLY getting REALLY old hearing about How Poor and desperate these poor families are. Here's a NEWSFLASH for yah. LOOK AROUND the WORLD is FULL of POOR DESPERATE people. Should America Simply TAKE THEM ALL IN? And as for your saying Illegals only do jobs Americans don't want WHY can't you at least be honest about that and tell it like it really is. Americans wont do those jobs for 4 and 5 dollars an Hour. And also for your information Illegals aren't just picking our veggies anymore. There taking Housing jobs, Warehouse jobs, road construction jobs, Jobs building new stores like Wall Mart 150 Illegals were recently Busted in PA working at a Wall Mart Construction site. Construction USE to pay good money APPARENTLY your totally in favor of creating a PERMANENT LOWER Class in America and having people work for Slave wages.

They could make a better life at home-and not break the law. So it it OK you say to drop morals for money?
And in case you missed it-I will repeat this

They are illegal perhaps. A better life is what most Americans and legal immigrants strive for too. Why should illegal aliens get the benefit of a free ride when we have guest worker programs and a legal way to migrate to the USA? Breaking the law for a better life? Well, let those that are unfortunate now rob the banks now. Let's give them amnesty after, because after all they are only wanting to provide a better life for their families too..

Lets see..illegals get food stamps (I pay for)...citizens can't get free health care, but yet illegals are putting hospitals out of business because the government requires that the hospitals give illegals free health care. 27% of the jail population is illegals and U.S. citizens are paying for their room and board also. Plus, illegals must be committing crimes to have such a high percentage in jail. About the jobs no one wants to work , well why would people want to work these jobs illegals are working for $4 and $5 an hour. Many of these wages are below minimum wage and illegals can afford these wages because they don't have to pay taxes. Need I continue?

When the illegal immigrants aren't working "desperately hard" at these jobs that supposedly no legal-citizen would want, they're busy draining the welfare system, our healthcare systems, as well as the public school system. They also contribute to the increase in crime in our cities and towns. They further contribute to identity theft crimes as many will steal social security numbers and what not.

Furthermore, I have a problem with any illegal immigrant that has the audacity to protest in my streets the fact that my country--the country that they've been draining--might actually want to put a stop to their freeloading bull****. I'm d*** tired of being looked at like I'm crazy because I don't speak their language. I'm tired of seeing everything translated because they refuse to learn the "usual" language of this country. They profess to love the USA but they can't see fit to learn the language, obey the laws, and even spoke in their native tongues at their stupid rallies. And don't even get me started on the offensive version of our national anthem.

I don't care what nationality they are...illegal immigrants are more trouble than they're worth. They need to pack their bags and get the h*** out of my country.

Well not all immigrants get jobs that no one wants. Those that do are often jobs under the table, (paid illegally). This means they take from the economy, send the money home to Mexico or whereever, don't contribute to taxes for roads, or infrastucture, and when a medical problem occurs....we the taxpayers foot the bill. All of that aside, we have legal means for immigration. Who needs people that work outside the legal system?

As an honest answer, if there weren't so very many that the incrmental impact each one of them makes is added to the incremental impact of each of the other 12 to 20 million of them, it wouldn't be such a big problem.

It isn't 'this one' or 'that one' it is ALL of them.

Poor people, even if they pay all required taxes, don't pay anything like their own way in education, health care and other benefits. That is why we and every other developed country limit the number of poor immigrants who can come. It is not even just the money we pay for them, it is what the money isn't paying for - better services for our own people. Our schools are failing in border states and areas where illegal immigrants concentrate. Our children's own future is being stolen from them. Their better life is at our expense.

I don't quite know, but ask the Jewish, the Irish, the Italians, the Pollocks, the Germans. They too were illegal aliens of the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's and they got offered nothing but they worked here, retired here, made their fortune here and now their grand kids are making it here too. All of a sudden the rules of the game change and only the sons of the sons of the sons of the illegal aliens of the 50's, the 40's, the 30's, the 20's are the only ones allowed to play.

Huh! Beats me!

I think what might possibly disturb a lot of people is the fact that the illegals don't pay taxes (a lot of them are paid in cash) while the rest of us do pay. Also a lot of illegals are working under social security numbers bought illegally which entitles them to benefits. I know of a woman who was notified by the IRS when 436 tax returns were filed using her ss number. Her number was one of those sold on a street corner and she is still mired down in a huge bureaucratic mess along with the fact that the IRS says she owes them $1.5 million in taxes.

They flee their countries to make a better life for them selves ... yes .

1. They do not want to be citizens, they just want the benifits.
2. They don't want to pay taxxes.
3. They use Medi-care,food stamps,
4. they enroll their children into public schools. ( this is a bourden on tax payers and disupts classes , and the learning process).
5.they don't pay hospital bills ( this raises the bill for people that do pay, but it is also closing down hospitals)
6. Most are payed under the table, and they drive down wages

I can go on forever.............
