Poor Mexico, so far from God so close to the United States.
We don't need to be so extreme as to close the borders. We just need to find an alternative that does not include amnesty and which brings order to the chaos.
1. Declare that no one here illegally during 2007 will EVER get citizenship.
2. Give prison time like 1 year and $100,000 fine for a first offense to employers. Second offense throw away the key.
3. Tax employers of legal aliens for the social cost of immigrants, and/or pay them a $12 minimum wage.

I don't know why Angela would think that we would lie about this. I certainly don't care what anyone thinks about my opinions one way or the other. We should absolutely close the border until we get the illegals deported and then let's think about giving people a chance to come here LEGALLY!

I believe we should close the borders to all for a period of time. That period of time would be flexible, as it would be hard to determine how much time would be needed to stabalize our economy and fix many of the internal problems we face as a country. I know it doesnt seem fair, as we are the country founded upon the principles of freedom, but how can we honestly continue on our current path before we ruin our future. I say this honestly, and i will let you know that my wife is a legal immigrant from china, and if we had closed borders i might not have met her, but i honestly feel we need to internalize our efforts to rebuild our greatness.

If you give them 1) all your money and jobs to them 2) give up your rights as a citizen and 3) Give them your future, they may in their government over you let you live on their social services. But close the border - no. Only they have rights to it, you do not.
What social services does Mexico have?

I want SECURE/ SEALED BORDERS!! I want the ILLEGAL immigration to STOP, that being said if a Mexican comes here legally then that is cool with me...come on over ....let's do lunch!! That's all I ask is that if you come here do so legally...if your visa expires.....ss time to go!

No, because some people in Mexico have family members in the U.S. Mexico should do something to help their government. I'm hispanic, meaning born in the U.S. by Mexican parents.

We should close off our border with Mexico just as tightly as Mexico has closed off its southern border.
But, we should NOT prohibit legal immigration.
