The answer depends on what is specified in the deed of sale. The previous owners might reserve mineral rights, for instance.

It depends. In some jurisdictions, property is sold with full mineral and depth rights. In those cases, it is down to the center of the earth.

Most places, it is not.

If you live in America, you don't even own the surface anymore. Just ask some of the people who have had their homes seized by local govt. authorities to build condos or mini malls.

Of course they do, they also own the airspace above the land, and can sue planes for flying in their private property.

What you are doing at the surface level itself is unbearable so why not at least leave the inner Earth alone.
The nature itself is reacting at times with Earthquakes so limit your activities and be with nature.....
