The eviction process can take up to 30 days or more. At the least you will have a bad mark on your credit report if they report you. The best advice is to tell your landlady that you will pay them a prorated price for the time you are staying there. Be honest with them but you have to pay them something to make it worth while for them.

Get off your butt and pack up your things yourself! It takes 2 days at the most to pack an apartment and load a moving truck.

Rent a U-Haul and load it with your stuff and drive it to your new place.

Unload it yourself and return the truck to U-Haul.

And there you are: in just a couple of days you have moved out of your apartment.

By the way, if you cannot pay rent, how in the world can you afford to pay a moving service to do something you should be doing yourself in the first place (i.e., moving and packing your things)?

So, to recap, you will not pay your rent, but you'll pay for Internet and a moving service...

Sounds like you have bad cash-management skills.

Tomorrow is Tuesday. Even if he reported you it would take longer than just one day to get you evicted. Plan to move out on Wednesday and good luck to you.

He legally can`t throw you out , he needs to serve eviction papers first. But try work with the guy everybody has hard times once in a while.

Sorry to hear of your situation...hope things start going better soon.

You can ask the apartment manager to be patient for a couple extra days. Be sure to have a back-up plan, however, if he/she says no.

You shouldn't have spent the rent money on crack and beer.
