You make a good point. It would be like someone going on the pets section, if they don't have any pets. I guess they have nothing better to do then bothering everyone.

I am not an atheist, but I will speak up just the same.

I am not here "spreading my 'religion'." I am here to answer questions and engage in the free exchange of ideas. I am here to share what I know about the many religions that I have studied.

And I don't know that most atheists are here to convert anyone.

And I don't know that Yahoo! set up this space for anyone to spread one's religion, regardless of what that religion might be.

Amen!...I've asked that same question many times over!.....atheists log onto this religious/spiriutal forum to Condemn, Harass, Mock, Disrespect, Make False Accusations Against Christians, And Insult Religion, Especially Christian!....There are other sites that they can log onto!...so why pick a religious site, a believers forum?.......why?...To Spread Their HATE Toward Religion & Promote Their Beliefs!...

Atheists are a group of people who don't believe in God. Kind of like how monotheism is a group of people who believe in one God and polytheism is the belief in many Gods. And I'd like to know what makes you think that they are trying to spread their religion, have numerous atheists walked up to you with pamplets trying to convert you and the people you know? No, they haven't have they? Besides what about Christians trying to convert entire countries and Witnesses coming to everybody's doorstep weekly with their magizines inviting you to the Kingdom Hall? I have had many of them try spreading their religion on me but never has an atheist put my beliefs against me or try converting me. I' ve had good solid conversations with them on religion. What makes you pick on the atheists? I think you need to "knowledge up" a litlle on the subject before you ridicule any more.
PS- I do not claim a religion. I am just a woman of one God.

I have a personal relationship with my Creator. The Being called Christ, Buddha, Mohammed...you name it. He is, and I know. That's all I need to sense to be at peace. He has healed me in my sickness, protected my family, put peace in my heart, taken malice towards others from my heart, shown me how to live a just life, shown me what Love TRULY is all about, He has made the impossible appear and exist in my life, given me a job I do not deserve to have.

I can't chalk none of the above up to luck or coincidence. When you sense that peaceful presence, you have no doubts. Why waste your time being so judgemental? It will do nothing but hinder you. One does not need to be a part of an organized religion to find spiritual wholeness and happiness, knowledge of self and consequently, your fellow humankind. Your question seems to be laced with a tad of malice...why? Are you not happy in what you beleive? Perhaps, it is your God consciousness within you urging you to seek truth. You have to find it for yourself, it's not all in any book. You have to pray and meditate.

I've never seen anyone up here "spreading" a religion. You beleive as you do, and others beleive as they do. We are all at different spiritual roads in life, even members of the same church that fellowship together are. Everyone's relationship with God is personal, that's why I don't buy into the whole religion thing.

Atheists can be very spiritual people without being religious...just for the record. We stand to learn a great deal from everyone and everything, and every experience we are faced with. By closing your mind, you close yourself off to experiences and chances to grow. If you feel so strongly, do something positive, like pray for them.

How can they "spread" something they do not profess? Like, how can I "spread" influenza if I am not ill with it?

Blessings to you.

Atheists believe in many things they just do not believe in religion where evil dwells, I believe in God but I sure as hell do not believe in religion, God dose not want to control me only religion dose that , so maybe you might want to spread your faith in God instead of a religious institute that only wants to control you put fear in your heart and take your money, why would you support such thing "Hypocrisy comes to mind".

They have the right to speak their mind like everyone else. This is America: Land of the Free. Now did we need to suffer through the previous LONG post left above? No. But they still have a right. And atheism is not a religion. Neither is true Christianity. I like to hear what everyone has to say so maybe everyone will listen to what I have to say: Jesus died for you. He loves you. And He wants you to believe in His death on the cross for your sins so you can be with Him in heaven when you die.

We're not, we're defending our beliefs and becoming enlightened about other beliefs. Big difference. Atheism is about as much of a religion as bald is a hair color, and we do believe in things, just not the existence of a god.

I am a Secular Humanist. My religion.

I am also an Atheist. Not a religion, just a world view.

I really don't care about spreading my beliefs. I do, however, care to standup against bigotry and hate that your religion (most likely) pushes.
