no, the fight will never end. as long as they have opposing views they will argue.

Atheists and Christians fight because a few members on both sides wish to "convert" people with the opposing view. Some Christians feel it is their duty, often quoting passages from the Bible about relentlessly trying to bring people to God. (Sorry, I don't memorize passages.) Some atheists want to educate Christians so that they "shut up" about their faith. Many atheists are tired of being tormented by Christians about their lack of faith. The fighting can only stop if the Christians learn to leave the atheists alone (which goes against God's wishes, according to that passage I can't recall), and if the atheists stop hurling challenges and insults back at the entire Christian faith. Basically, both sides need to control their extremists and promote acceptance (not just tolerance).
Some people in both camps can't "accept each other like Jesus did" because: 1) Those particular atheists have taken too much verbal abuse from a few outspoken, intolerant Christians and feel the need to defend themselves and their views (or just flat-out retaliate). 2) Those particular Christians aren't practicing Jesus’ teachings... or they're practicing specific teachings while ignoring others.
Evolution is a separate issue, which unfortunately, has become entangled in this fight between outspoken opponents. Evolution is attacked not only by fundamentalist Christians, but also by under-educated Christians (in terms of biology and often science) who see humans as superior to all other life on earth. These people don't just disagree with evolution; they're offended by it... deeply. In the evolution (not necessarily atheist) camp, the attacks on evolution are seen as misinformed, hackneyed, anti-scientific, and crass. Evolution is a field of science, yet both raw Creationism and Intelligent Design don't provide valid scientific criticism nor provide testable scientific hypotheses.
You cannot offer them both as electives in a science classroom, because Creationism/Intelligent Design is not science. *HOWEVER*, I see nothing wrong with introducing the field of philosophy to the high school classroom. In it, (among other things) it could discuss the fundamental differences between religion and science, and then reference the evolution debate. In that context, Creationism/Intelligent Design could be discussed in more detail since it would not be implied that it is science. Likewise, evolution (and all of science) could be explored as just another method that humans can use to understand and explore their universe.

Most all wars were about religion. It should not be the cause . Freedom of choice should be world wide but it seems not to be the case.I am not sure evolution is atheist. If God designed this earth maybe he invented evolution to give him more time for other things. I believe in God and country and freedom of choice for Muslems, Jews, Christians and any religion. I do not believe in terrorism or their sucide bombers - it proves nothing but how stupid they are. I pray for their souls and I am sure if there were virgins in heaven they would definately find a big cloud to hide behind then to service such scum - of'course they will never make it to heaven in the first place.

Sadly there are jerks on both sides. I am a Christian but I do not consider atheists non or immoral people. According to my belief, Jesus loves them just as much as he does me. Atheists have yet to see this. I consider God my Father in Heaven. So, how can I hate his creations? I can't. Conversely, I think Atheists think Christians are crazy. Sure it is hard to some to believe and worship someone they never saw. Moreover, rose from the dead and offers the gift of salvation to all. People are people and come in all shapes, sizes and attitudes. There are Chrsitians who represent Christ well and those who do not. There are Atheists who just choose to not believe and those who choose to hate. (hate again is on both sides) So, why can't we all get along?? From a Christian perspective, it is because the bible teaches that Christians will be hated as Chirst was hated---servents are not better than the Master. From an athesit perspective....not sure, I guess it is because they cannot accept faith or those who accept it. Again, I am not trying to generalize, just theorize. I honestly just think the bottem line is that sadly there are jerks on both sides. The sooner the one of us that are reasonable realize that, the sooner we can stop being offended.

Some people accept others beliefs and some people have strict beliefs and think everyone should believe in what they believe in. We can't change people.. some christians (not all! i am catholic by the way) are just obviously bias against their own beliefs and instead of accepting a person who doesn't believe in god some of them try to force god upon atheists. I honestly don't care what religion anyone but myself is as long as I know where I am going in the end.

Jesus did not accept any conflict of religions. He just spoke about love. The atheists may love as much as the religious ones. Bertrand Russell may teach something.

It's not about atheists teaching evolution. Many people of religion teach evolution and feel that perhaps that was god's way of making us. No, what really makes it difficult is that religious people feel the need to spread the word to everyone whether they want to hear it or not. I don't believe in god at all and it doesn't bother me one bit for someone to express their faith in a higher power. What makes me angry is when I say to them "No thanks, I am not interested" and they keep yapping at me about it. Then I'll get my back up a bit and tell them off. It's as simple as that in my case.

it seems that neither will concede that they each have the right to disagree without being hostile. both are very vehement in their beliefs but some of each group will condemn the other for a personal choice.
my boyfriend is from england. when he heard that some schools in america teach creationism and NOT evolution and some taught neither, he was flabbergasted. not everyone is as hung up about the debate as this country seems to be.

Eph 6:12-13
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
NIV
You aren't fighting against atheists. God loves them as much as he loves all in his kingdom. Don't ever forget that our fight is spiritual. Name calling, and arguing will never win.
The fruits of the spirit are what win battles.Just listen to the Holy Spirit, and pray. That is where the battlefield is at.
Eph. 6 says stand and stand firm.
Don't be swayed by pointless arguing and trying to understand darkness, for what light understands darkness.

I never understood why people fight about someone that supposedly does not exist. If there is no God, why spend so much time proving something that does not exist. You will not find me trying to prove that the Boogy man does not exist!
The fact is Romans1:18-21.
It's funny how we believe there is an equator- when the very definition tells us that it is an imaginary line!

why do muslims, jews and christians fight?
becuase christians dont quite grasp the concept of being christ-like (the meaning of christianity)
NO... christians must realise that god and science are NOT mutually exclusive (go scientology... you got the concept but not he execution) and christians also must actually know what evolution is before they just dismiss it as monkey busness (LOL)
HUMANS did not evolve from monkeys. EXTINCTION is sad reality not an inevitiabity. hte existance of MONKEYS does not automaticly discout evolution as a possibility.
the evolution misconceptions continue and are mostly held by the blinded christian.
