Sure. They are just like any other building. Particularly the volunteer buildings that are unmanned.

NYC .... early 1900's.... Firestations are usually fire safe buildings nowadays, but back when they were converted barns, and livery stables ...

idk about IN a firestation but there was a house that totally burned down that was right next to a fire station! that was in Sanger, CA, about a month ago!
