Does anyone know what this means, i have a friend who is an inmate in jail and i called the number to see when he has his next appeal, and it said that he doesnt have one. But it also said that there is no clock on his case. For the processing filing.. Does anyone have any idea what this might mean

several legal processes must occur in a given amount of time. If the inmate is not currently subject to any requirement or limitation of time to begin or complete a process, "there is not clock running".

It means that a date hasn't been set yet.

i think it mens they dont know when he will have a next appeal yet.
