That depends on what kind of guy your asking. Some guys have told me they hate it because they like the pursuit of the women, some have said it makes the women look sort of easy because they are approaching the guy, and some don't care.

No. As long as it is an appropriate outing tht is suggested. Many girls have asked me if I would like to go for adrink or for coffee. The gal I married asked me if I wanted to go see the Fourth of July fireworks with her.
