Oh, apparently it was all right "back then" but in modern times it is supposedly evil! Whateverrrr....
People have been brainwashed into denying their sixth sense, which we all possess and can develop. It's a matter of listening to those "gut feelings" and that little voice in your head, telling you what's right. Going with your first hunch. Mediums and psychics are simply people who have not suppressed this natural ability that is within each of us, but developed it like one might develop their typing skills.

The bible was written by men who have always been threatened by women....and who were the witches and mediums of the time? WOMEN.
Women are not well treated in the bible-one of the only men who actually consistently shows mercy to women and children is Jesus himself. Were a witch or a medium to have given the men "wrong" or "bad" information, they would just as easily have been killed on the spot and condemned to Hell....pretty much like what happened in Salem or in Europe during their trials. Again, the majority of those slain (falsely I might add) were women.
Men "use" those "witches" and "mediums" to their advantages. If they helped, they were revered. If they made a mistake they were slaughtered.
Not much has changed. Bush himself wanted to outlaw witchcraft (actually-anything not "Christian").

Aha - another victim of the "Christians are perfect" lie.
Christians are people. And like people, they make mistakes. They even violate the laws of God. Doesn't mean they are not Christians, nor does it mean that the laws are bogus and therefore God doesn't exist.
Have you considered that the greatest men, not of divine origin, in the Bible committed brutal crimes? Moses -> murdered an Egyptian soldier. King David -> committed adultery and had her husband murdered. Paul (who a significant portion of New Testament) -> persecuted (i.e., murdered) Christians by the dozen. Yet, God was able to convert these tainted tools into useful Christians.
And your point again, is what? That man has an inherently sinful nature? No kidding.

Genesis says that God placed the stars in the firmament (the solid barrier that separates the earth from heaven... i.e., the sky) to provide for omens and portents. So, that endorses astrology... and implies a need for people to interpret those omens... seers, astrologers... whatever. All a part of the myths, fairytales, superstitions and fantastical delusions of an ignorant bunch of Bronze Age fishermen and peripatetic goat herders... today, asserted to be the inerrant 'truth'. How about that?

Saul was the king and He and His sons were killed for this reason. God left him read 1 Samuel 28 & 31, Daniel interpreted dreams bcause God gave him the interpritations, the mediums couldn't interpret them. Read the book of Daniel, and Revelation 21 verse 8 says that those who practice sorcery will end up in the lake of fire with the devil(their master)

Cause he was weak and he sinned! Witches were also burned or stoned in those days, but I would venture a guess that they were real witches not like wiccans or any of the so called witch groups around today.

Because the Bible is full of contradictions. I gave up on the Bible long ago.
However, I've found that you don't need a book to believe in God. If you're a Christian, you should let God speak to you through your spirit and let him guide you instead of some book that is fallible and out of date.

Don't forget, Jesus also brought a man back from death, which is some pretty powerful magic. Because Jesus did it, it's a miracle, not witchcraft.
Oh, and Revalations was a vision, which is also looked down upon in the Bible. This time, though, it was God doing it so it was okay.

there are all sorts of things in the bible that don't make sense and are very unreasonable, what makes it a great fable.

If God is the one giving the dreams, and interpretations, it is much diffrent than if Satan is behind them, which is usually the case.
