I met this guy who told me I was all that (beautiful, nice, good-hearted, etc.), but everytime I approached him in a certain way, he acted sort of aloof, like he wasn't interested. Then I called him on it, and he said, "No, it's not like that at all...". Finally I gave up on him and stopped calling/talking to him. Well, he knew my Y! messenger ID and he asked to add me again (like I said...I gave up so he got deleted off the messenger, too). Really, I'm like...WHY?! But now he's into talking again. WTH???

Admiral, I know what you mean. I never came on to him strong...for all the people who said that. Maybe I should have made that clear. He knew I was interested in getting to know him better, just from my conversations with him, unless he's completely dim witted. I'm a subtle person by nature.

He likes to feel like someone is chasing after him.

Some people prefer the thrill of the chase...when you seem eager or interested in them, there's no challenge and they tend to lose interest...they know the game, the know the right words to say, but quite often when they get what they want (whether it's sex or any kind of relationship with you) it doesn't last long because they become bored with it...

Women do it too...the thrill of the chase is more exciting than the catch....

You have to decide if you're up to playing games with someone like that...do you want to play "hard to get" to see if he'll stay interested, or be honest with yourself and him, and if he backs off again then just let him go?

I have no idea. You have no idea. He has no idea. She has no idea. It has no idea. We have no idea. They have no idea. Tell me... is there a reason for every single thing you do? No, right? So, who cares... honestly, each mind is a world... I'm the kind of gurl who's always assuming too much... thinking what they probably were thinking and so forth and you know what... that only pulls my nerves and things like that and I'm so fed up with it that I'm much more into asking them and if I don't get an answer I let it go. Good luck!

Maybe you were coming on too strong and it turned him off and now that you're ignoring him, he's interested again. It depends on you. If you're still interested, then let him make the move and see where it takes you guys. If you're not interested then keep ignoring him if you want.

I wish I could help you with the answer; perhaps he prefers those women who play hard to get? I get the impression that he is not the right kind of guy for you, in the sense that he doesn't communicate/interact in a compatible way to you.

Unless you want to give him another chance, I'd suggest that you tell him that you no longer want anything to do with him and make it clear that he's no longer welcome to contact you.

Maybe he was just shy. Don't worry about about. He's interested otherwise he wouldn't have asked you to chat with him on Yahoo. So give him a chance. If he wasn't interested in you, he wouldn't be talking to you at all

Don't date people who you wouldn't have as the father of your children someday. Would you want your children treated by their father as this person has treated you?
